Walking 3 Weims to the local beer joint and back, I came across the original owner of a DiNucci!!

she was shocked I knew what it was. She was also proud of the rear rack that was custom made for this bike.

She really didn’t want to be featured in the pic.

Cool bell. Handsome dogs; how do you tell them apart?

South side of the Thames just west of Battersea Park:

https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...66616efad4.jpg

It's a Claud Butler 5 speed. Cottered crank, Campy DT shifter and RD I think, San Marco Rolls saddle in white.
New rear tyre and a good lock so I think it's somebody's commuter - it was there last week too.

I think it's a Claud Butler Avant Coureur of some type: https://nkilgariff.com/ClaudButler.htm

Update: It was missing for a few days and then back again so it's definitely a commuter and not a wreck, good.

I had to take my Felt in for some service at my LBS and saw this cool 3 wheeler from Miami Bicycle and Supply Co. It's branded Miami Sun. It's in great shape for it's age. Anyone have an idea of how old it is? Cottered cranks make me think at least early 70"s but possibly older. Star ? brakes...I wish it was put together and on the floor to get a better idea of the size. Judging by the HUGE saddle it's probably not a kids bike.

^ That adult trike is probably late '70s and those brakes are likely Chang Star.

I was just down there today, should have been paying better attention. :twitchy:

No idea what this is, but does have cottered cranks.
Rider said his parents found it at a junk sale and fixed it up for him, but he doesn't know what it is.
A big lock but I'm guessing it's fairly safe from getting stolen.

Softride!

It had one of those Scott wrap-around buffalo handlebars and a normal suspension fork. What an unusual combination of parts. The guy riding it looked dedicated and grizzled and it made me think he could be the original owner

Good eye. That's as Sacramento as a bike can be. Rex does impeccable work.

He does! But for MTB local builders I think more Sherwood Gibson than Steve Rex

We saw many vintage bikes on our recent vacation to Revelstoke, B.C. It seems about half the cars in town had a bike rack. These are a couple I grabbed quick photos of. My daughter thought I’d be suspected of casing the bikes. The Popcycle trike wasn’t vintage, but it was cool in more ways than one.

Mobile Shag Master Shag, great shape for Madison Wi. There was a not so good looking Chevy van that was floated around the neighborhood. It used to be parked by the elementary school. The van was labeled ‘GET AWAY VAN’ seamed appropriate.

Norco Alpine Express that looks like it hasn't been messed with too much. The side-pull brakes and quill stem get to me. ;)
Actually sort of decent late 80's I think. It pre-dates the 18" frame fits everybody idea by a bit.

Interestingly, Get Away Vans was a Canadian company that specialized in highroof camper conversions, most of them much taller and with windows in the sides of the top. A real find if you come across one, and the variety! Most converters settle on one body but I've seen Chevies, Dodges, VW Vanagons, Toyotas. I'd love to find one.
