Well, *I* thought it was funny...

And so did my daughter, which I guess was why she sent me the link and insisted I post it here. If you don't like it, take it up with HER.

At first I laughed, then I stopped laughing because it's not far from the truth. Think about it. At work I associate with the guys who ride. I have coffee after a ride with the other folks on the ride. I wear the corporate logo spandex, although I haven't mated with one of the female cyclists. (I have to work on that). My gears are Shimano (because they are the best ). Hmmmm sounds familiar.

I laughed. I'm a sucker for repetition in place of actual information.

The exchange with the health club manager is the best I've found so far.

The "Simon's Pie Charts" post is hilarious if you're in design.

I was just about to post that one. That bit is hilarious if you have a day job of any sort.

Bikes: Two wheeled ones

The Onion reminds me a little bit of my childhood fascination with MAD! Magazine. Loved the link...but he's behind the times...my titanium alloy bike has mandillian brakes...which isn't just an allien carbon alloy, they're drilled with ultra-sonic waves to save weight and use the teeth of the blue aliens in Avatar as brake pads.

Riding a bicycle has many advantages. As you do not have to register bicycles or obey any road rules, I am currently constructing a four person family bicycle which consists of two bicycles welded together with four armchairs in between.
As a busy retired guy, I quit reading the second I reached the above absurd statement. Is this funny. Yes, in a morbid sense but not funny enough to capture any more of my attention. I actually looked for an opportunity to contact this guy but could find none. In my humble opinion, this guy is ill.

I am often asked why my Spandex® bicycle riding costume features eight hundred and thirty corporate sponsorship logos even though I do not actually have a sponsor. The reason for this is simple. For every thirty male bicycle riders there is one female bicycle rider and, as in nature where the most adorned peacock gets the peahen, the male bicycle rider with the most brightly coloured Spandex® and most corporate sponsorship logos gets to mate with her.
Perfect!

After this initial reaction, I delved a bit deeper into the site only to realize it is a spoof, or something like that. Funny? Yes, in a morbid sense, but not funny enough to capture my attention.

Hmmm, this little section hits a little too close to home for me?,,,,BD

Things that are almost as good as riding my bicycle:

1. Looking at my bicycle
2. Talking about my bicycle
3. Watching television programs that feature people riding bicycles
4. Cheese
