Here is a bike from a friend and we have lots of problems trying to find out what date this frame is and the specs that this bike was fitted with from new.

Now it's a bit of everything and we don't have the confidence this is original.

From what we know is that Concorde frames where firstly made in italy by bilato and later by ciocc for the more expensive models. The cheaper model frames where made in belgium.
Veltec was the sales distributor, but didn't prove to be any help at all.

That's all we know.

The components are from all over the place, so I doubt many (if any) are original. Looks like a chop shop job.
I sold Concordes in the late 80's (which is when that decal set was used), but don't recognize that paint job at all. The Cinelli BB shell would indicate a high-end model, but the "H" on the seatstay caps suggests to me that the frame isn't a Concorde at all and has just had their decal set slapped on it.
Some more photos of the fork crown, lugs, dropouts, and decals would help.

I'd bet that is not a Concorde.

Why would a Concorde have an 'H' on the seatstay cap, for starters?

Doesn't look like a bad bike, but just because the decals say something doesn't make it so. Look at all the bikes here that have Cinelli decals that aren't Cinelli's. I have a Concorde, and it looks nothing like yours.

For starters i'm not the 'i know it all' person so it's all new to me and despite seeing the H on the seatstays it doesn't ring a bell with me being wrong or right.

I'm very eager to find out if this is a concorde of whatever the make could be.

It's like a new decease when you don't know what decease you have than you don't know wich medicine one should take to get better.

So is it with this bike.

Could it be that there changes between the us and eu models and the specs/colours?

Any clues that can lead to the correct brand and specs that accompany this model are more than welcome.

So again shoot the info and lets find out what it really is.

The "H" on the stay cap is very unusual: perhaps this is one of those "lower end" models built in Belgium/Netherlands and the H is the initials of that contractor (which would be...?). I don't think there were separate models made just for US export, but clearly there were many more sold in EU than the US...even a couple oddballs with Japanese-made frames as well as at least one re-badged ALAN aluminum frame. Unless there are other pantograhs on the frame that indicate it's a Concorde (the bird on the forkcrown for example), this seems most likely to be some "H" brand bike with Concorde decals...but since it has a Cinelli BB and decent lugs, it can't be a bad bike.

Pictures of the actual frame, lugs, brake bridge, cable guides, fork crown, dropouts, etc. would be a lot more helpful than pictures of the mis-matched components. BB thread(Eng or Italian) would be a huge help. You are the one asking for help, provide the tools the good folks here need to help you. I have yet to see a Concorde with a Cinelli BB, but that doesn't mean much, anything is possible.

The bike is likely early to mid 1980's, and it's possible it came as a frame/fork instead of a complete bike. It's possible that it was built by a small boutique builder. You may nevber know who built it and when, so what?

On the little casting at the rearbrake it's chrome and hardly readable, but it reads
mod. guipiemme and a bird/wings

Also we discovered too late that on the horizontal chainstay there is a large dent (we make more pix from that tomorrow)
Can this be a indications of some brand that has done that.

still can't help you ID it, but it has good features: the campy DOs, the early Cinelli IC shell (AKA the can-opener), the gipiemme brakebridge, etc. all point to a good frame. But is it an "H" or is it a Concorde (or both)?
Can't say..but.one thing I notice is the Hatta Swan HS, which always seem to come on Benelux bikes. Hatta must have sold their entire production to Benelux, you hardly see them on any other bikes.
