It's been a busy couple of days!
Got started on my Lotus Pegasus MTB conversion to fat tire cruiser project. We have a tweed ride coming up this weekend, which got me to finally start on this project...which got me to finally finish setting up my garage workshop, and so it goes.

walking my dog around the neighborhood we came across some interesting avians:

some (apparantly free range) backyard chickens:

heck of a coop:

and I was finally able to get a pic of this mysterious bird I've seen around the neighborhood for months. After some online fiddling I found it's a guinea fowl and they make good pets for pest control (they eat bugs and weeds)

my friend that I'm touring with in a couple weeks got his bike done before I got mine done. 1983 Specialized Sequoia with lots of cool mods:

CB, your shop is entirely too organized.

I wish I had that ceiling height in my shop. Everything would be on winches and pulleys.

I try to keep my work areas tidy, but any time I work on a project it goes from pristine to disaster within hours lol

Touring with a 1x setup!? Ack, you flatlanders.

Super nice workspace, Cobra. I'll probably see you at the tweed ride. Looking forward to seeing that Lotus.

lol Yeah he's doing a 1x8 (46x14-32) which should be plenty enough for the route we have planned
I'm going with a triple up front and 5 speed rear on mine, half-step+granny, just for the fun of it

Thanks! Hope to see you there, looks like the turnout is going to be huge. The weather looks to be perfect this year

When my daughter goes to bed at night, I get to play with her toys.

The engine's wheels are on inside out. Fix that before she thinks it's okay to stray from the strictest adherence to reality possible. Stifle her creativity and imagination lest she get the upper hand on the old man.

Don't worry, I am way ahead of you there. Every morning before she wakes up, I smash whatever I built. Then I build a solid square with the blocks, and tell her "that is all they were made for". Rules are rules you know!

Then I let her bang away on my acoustic guitar.

Gravity Aided 02-27-13 07:29 PM

Way to stifle that creativity.

The stars aligned and I got to do the Wednesday night ride.

Got spoiled by miss Italuminium for my b'day, a super nice vintage watch. She knows what makes me tick.

The same could be said of this palm:
