I miss my old Volvo 142E. 600K miles...made the mistake of trading it in on a Ford truck I had to sell a month later.

My 1972 P13-9 PARAMOUNT
http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=378131 The NW Indiana prairie wind was BRUTAL! ~ Advil and Gatorade.... The fuel of baby-boomer bike riders world-wide. 14.6 miles. 12.6mph average. When I was going East on Newton County Road 1700S with awesome tailwind, I touched 33mph for a brief period and was riding in still air! Was in top gear (14/52) and pedaling like a mad-man. The West wind was so strong today, it's difficult to ride even in the cross-wind as it pushes so hard. Got chased by three BIG farm dogs. 'Moe' acted like he wanted to bite me, the other two (Curly and Larry) were trying to get ran over. The average cost to a home-owner who's dog attacks a cyclist in Indiana is just a tic over $90,000.00. |

Wow! If you don't mind getting bitten once a year...you could be livin' large! Let's ride! |

I took a ride in the country on Friday and passed through the hamlet of Alligerville. I like that name.

Went out in the woods to look for morels - still too early, but should be any day now.
Instead, I happened upon a colony of Purple Martins https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5328/...2656da28bd.jpg |

Before the move this spot was 5 miles in on my normal short loop. I would head up towpath road and into Accord from here.

Sorry to see you go before we met. Are the roads as nice there as in High Falls? I find them to be breathtaking.

Reminds me of that sign that says "Keep Portland weird." Does that sign actually exist in real life?
