Here a a few cars I came across out riding today.
Note the awesome bike in front of the Lamborghini.

A Lancia not sure of the model.

Awesome badge on the Lancia would look great as a bikes head badge.

puckett129, where are you in the Hudson Valley? We're buying a weekend house in High Falls.

scozim, your son is beautiful. Hard to believe he's only 13.

Thanks noglider - he's an awesome kid and one heck of an athlete. Just got him up in the hills on a mountain bike last week and he loved it.

I did a quick 30 while my wife & kids were out. The loop went through Valley Forge National Park so I took a few pics.

Got home and was hungry so I pulled a big purple heirloom tomato and a couple of cucumbers form the garden. Made a tomato, lettuce & cheese sandwich and cucumber salad. I love this time of year.....

I think I need to remove the BB from the weekends wet ride. When I took the chain off and spun the crank I could hear the dirt in there.

That does seem surprising. Just yesterday I rode straight over a gigantic piece of broken bottle. I'm talking inches big and jagged. I thought it would take a chuck of tire with it for sure, but the Maxxis tires have been real champs so far.

I'm not perfect, however, and the drill bit wandered on me twice (anodizing, particularly black, is hard stuff to get the pilot hole going on). Can you find where I touched up the oopses with black Sharpie?

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7116/7...6819af07_b.jpg

For the black, I had to find a silver Sharpie to do my layout - regular black wasn't going to cut it :)

After I got my reference points, I began with a small bit to do the pilot holes. I then wiped off any trace of silver Sharpie so I could determine if I had any adjustments to make with the larger bits. I made slight adjustments to some areas as I went along, and I'm happy with the result.

Oh, and this marked a first: today was the first time I drilliumed something other than Campagnolo :)

Looks great. Here is my guess:

Ooh good advice thanks! I will keep an eye on it (and maybe ask the homeowner for a cutting if it turns out to be one) :)

In the tires defense the staple went directly in...as if someone took a stapler and jammed it in there and made two nice little holes. I'm going to chalk it up to bad luck...for now lol

I found this pic on my friends facebook last night, apparantly he took a pic of me in tire changing mode ha ha

Not 5 miles from fender1's Valley Forge pictures, I took this picture on Saturday morning. This a friend of mine that dusted of his 1978 Trek and finally got it out after 20 years. It has a little wheel hop, but rides very nice. Guess who gets to do the tune up and add a few things to make it more rideable?

http://i931.photobucket.com/albums/a...e/WJVTrain.jpg

My ride was not vintage (Salsa Casseroll), because I rode about 20 miles on a gravel trail to meet him and did not want to dirty up the Vintage rides.

Trust me, he heard about it.

Did you ride up to Valley Forge from Berwyn? The roads up to Valley Forge are brutal.

My wife is hard core... carrying our daughter through a rather deep section on the way to the falls.

Left my camera with a friend as I was worried about drowning it when I went through... should have packed a zip lock to protect it.

Coming out... soaked through and through.

Yeah. I have gotten used to the traffic (relatively), the poor road conditons and some of the hills. We should meet up some time.

Tired of seeing pictures of my daughter sitting in a trailer yet? To bad! Today we rode a tad over 19 miles. We took a really nice, relatively new MUP to the local bike shop. After buying some brake housing, we headed back home, winding through city streets. I was thinking that we were going to take the other MUP... but it's closed until August 31st.

Yep. I live right on Taylor and 11th.

They do have a front office for walk-in purchases. I was going to wake up and walk around the corner for some Pw grease this week.
