Went through some tools I got a while back and selected a few that I was unfamiliar with. There are lots of various size spanners. Just seeing if anyone has any info they can share.

I figure the Sturmey Archer one is for the IGH hub cogs but I've never toyed with one before.

the one with the red handles looks limke a Hozan 4th hand tool the others just assorted spanners.

The big Sturmey Archer one might be for opening up hubs; can't tell without dimensions. I can't tell what the various lock ring wrenches are; might fit BB's, track hub lock rings, old dynohubs, various coaster brake hubs, your guess is as good as mine.

The one with the two studs sticking out the side is a pin wrench, probably for BB's, possibly for some type of headset; again, can't tell without dimensions.

Red handled one, yep, that's a fourth hand tool. Thread the brake cable through the hanger of a centerpull brake, then through the notch, then between the two jaws of the other end; squeeze with one hand and it pulls the cable down while pushing the hanger up. Tighten the nut, and you're good to go. I've had one since the early 80's and have used it like twice.

Various lock ring and headset nut type tools, along with the pin spanner and 3rd/4th hand tool.

Agreed, the Sturmey tool is a ball ring spanner. I think I still have one of those Modolo wrenches somewhere, it came with a new brake set that I bought in the mid 80's

The pin spanner thing fits no BB cups that I have. The pins are way bigger than all the holes.

The one spanner with the double hex end is the best fitting tool I've ever seen.

I didn't know Brooks had tools for things other than saddles, either.

What could the tiny spanners be for? The single looks so familiar for some reason.

This tool is for a British coaster hub, the small square fitting should match the end of the drive side axle and is used for making a bearing adjustment.

British coaster hubs use a track ring to hold a threaded cog so the multi tool usually has a tool for this, a spanner to adjust wheel nuts, and the square hole spanner for the axle adjustment. I have a number of Perry tools for Perry hubs that incorporate all three. The pin spanner might fit a bb cup of unknown origin.

Yes, it's for removing the ball ring from the hub shell.

This is a "4th hand" tool, for taking slack out of a brake cable whilst tightening the anchor bolt.

Who says they have to be bike tools?

They work great for tightening tie-wraps/zip-ties too.
