Don't know whether to sell or keep this beautiful bike.
I have this Schwinn Super Sport (Columbus Tubing) that is in great shape. I haven't been on the bike in over 4 yrs now. When I ride now (which isn't often) I ride my Trek T1. Every time I look at the bike I just think about selling it because I want it to be ridden and enjoyed. It has one loose spoke in the back and needs air. Otherwise this things ready to go. What do you guys think? Fix it and start making time for it? Sell it and allow someone else to enjoy it? Also what are these bike going for now a days? I tried to look it up and the super sports I find don't look as good.
Thanks
Thanks

Bikes: Two wheeled ones
I think it all depends on what you want to do...I'll say this, having a backup bike is a good thing. If I were keeping it I'd probably set it up differently from my other bike...maybe wider tires...and find a niche for it.
Valuation? A lot will depend on your market and your ability to write the ad, but I'd say...on average...$300ish (and a good value for the buyer) for a Schwin Tenax with 600 in my market if it's ready to ride.
Lose the time trial bars and clipless pedals.

Well if you decide to sell it, you can put up a thread selling it here! https://www.bikeforums.net/forumdispl...ke-Marketplace

The only time I have not regretted selling a bike is when it was the wrong size for me. For me bikes are similar to friends, they are too few, and though I miss some more than others each has their own personality and I treasure all of them. One can not ever replace another.

Putting air in a tire counts as fixing a bike?

Get it ready to sell. You have to do this either way.
Then ride it alternately with your Trek. It is okay to have two bikes, but it is more work. Unless you find it distinctly different from the Trek, there is no reason to keep both. Anyway, make an informed decision which bike you prefer.
Then sell one and get a better camera.

If you have any interest in maintaining a C&V steed in the stable, you could not do better from a practical standpoint. More expensive, more rare, sure (although I'm pretty certain that was the late '87 SS release due to customer/dealer pushback on the much more prevalent magenta and white combination & there are not many of those out there). But a better rider? Doubtful, unless your posterior is much more sensitive than mine.
Full disclosure: I own an '87 in this size as well as a bevy of Tempos, Prologues, Pelotons and Circuits, all likely made by the same group of nce Japanese ladies at National/Panasonic. They are all terrific bikes and I'd put them alongside any of the Merckx/Della Santa/Bottecchia/Serotta bikes in the stable for ride quality.

Bikes: A green one, "Ragleigh," or something.
The question gets easier when you you have more than two bikes. I've got about a ten right now, and I only ride about 300 miles per month, so a lot of them aren't getting used. I've gotten rid of two of them recently and hope off two more before I pick up any more projects.
But really, its been unridden for four years? Just sell it. It's a nice bike and someone else will really dig it.

If its exactly the right size and you can see a need to keep it as a spare then keep it. Great bike. I like the way they ride for sure. If not then you may be able to hold out for $300 if its a good market but I'd do a full lube and deep clean and replace cables etc to get top market.
I wrote a little about the Super Sport and had same color combo here:

I would be willing to come by and spend some time with your bike a few times a week. That way you can keep it and not feel bad that it is not being ridden. I am such a giving man.
