I am mainly concerned with reflective bits helping with rearward oncoming views, I see very little, if any, real benefit from having it on the front/sides. Besides, the wheels tape shows great from the front and 1/4 angles.

I didn't even notice the photoshop of the dryer when I first looked at the photos. Now, thanks the the OP's reaction, that's ALL I can see now.
My mind is jumping to all kinds of wild speculations as to what could be in the dryer that would illicit such a response. I have a huge hole in my soul that the mystery will never be solved.

Howeverr, I do have one concern though. What if someone is after you? Say, someone on a bike or a car...and they're trying to come rob/hurt you for one reason or another? During times when you want stealth, how do you achieve that?
I guess I'm just thinking about the 1% chance when I don't want to grab attention to myself.

Well, I ride about once every two weeks. So maybe I'll ride 26 times a year. Actually, cut that number in half since I don't ride when it gets below 60 degrees, so on average, I ride about once a month.
So my 1% chance is about once every 8 years...which seems reasonable. I get robbed on average of once every 5 years or so.

You can't make anything perfect, focus one the higher risk areas that can be reduced by a large amount in a simple way. Even if it increases another risk ever so slightly, you are still way ahead of the game.
Below 60 you won't ride? I consider 50 perfect after getting warmed up. Ride more often and you might learn how to evade/avoid those situations better.

I just got a few rolls of black reflective tape and the supposedly brighter silver tape from www.identi-tape.com, but haven't had a chance to compare the reflectivity or put it on my bike yet. I intend to cover as much of the frame as I can as well as portions of my rims, pedals, shoes, helmet, bags, etc. The concept of putting reflective material on moving parts seems very smart. Tried what? The tape on moving parts? I have and it works very well. Recommend it on the bottom and sides of crank arms. For wheels, what seems to works best is about a 10 inch strip (cut up and placed side by side between spokes) on each wheel. I had 2 10" sections on each wheel at one point, but the strobe effect works much better at higher speeds with the single strips. Less is more sometimes.

If the bicycle where white then the reflective tape would really be stealth. Some good ideas with the placement of them.
