Bikes: '79 Schwinn Varsity

A.) Occupation: Company CEO (poor SOB who comes in first and leaves last)
B.) Distance: 21.4 miles round trip.....plus occasional "shortcuts" which add 10-15 miles to the day...(yes, I am mathematically challenged)
C.) Shower: I took an excess rest room, removed toilet and built a shower on 2x6 platform as we couldn't modify cement floor to put a gas trap in....total cost - $832 (Fibreglass shower stall, PVC pipes and small water heater)
D.) Parking: Bikes are parked inside, in warehouse area
E.) started commuting January '06....usually about 190 +/- days per year
F.) Year round....I have a deal with Lightning and Thunder Storms...I ignore them and they ignore me...so far we have both been keeping our respective sides of the bargain....

Other....there are 16 of us here...3 of us commute via bike regularly....working on the others...

B) Commuting Distance - 10-12km one way (6-8 miles)

C) When at work I a) shower b) change clothes/clean up c) don't change clothes and hope for the best/clean up

D) Where bike is parked - in front of my desk for all the office to see. It has been voiced to me that others wish they could ride to work for their health and be as green as me.....but the only green I care about at this juncture is the green in my wallet

E) Number of years commuting - .75 - .9 I started last April when gas prices irked me for the last time.

F) Year-round/part time commuter - I made a decision to not ride to work during mid Nov - mid Jan. It is just to dark at night and the drivers scare me around Christmas time. I also don't ride when I have dr appointments and other appointments.

Commuting Distance: 12 miles round-trip

When at work I: Shower, change. We have a full locker room with showers. Free hot water!!

Where bike is parked: In my office, next to my desk. We have tons of support as bicycle commuters, and have all the flexibility we need to store our bikes securely. I'm looking at it right now.

Number of years commuting: 1..just got started last year

Full Time / Part time Commuter? Part time, usually March through November. The Really cold weather and snow / ice are no fun, although the dark doesn't bother me.

Bikes: Bottecchia Sprint, GT Timberline 29r, Marin Muirwoods 29er, Trek FX Alpha 7.0

++ Account Manager - like a project manager (not sales) desk job ugh

B) Commuting Distance:
++ was 17 miles, new office is 13 miles oneway

C) When at work I a) shower b) change clothes/clean up c) don't change clothes and hope for the best/clean up
++ brought diluted shampoo washcloth & towel and used a sink. changed all my cloths head to toe and brought deodorant. I showered before leaving home as well. D) Where bike is parked:
++ in foyer so I didn't have to carry lock and cable

E) Number of years commuting
++ 3 years but last year I did the most - like 30 days - and only 1 full 5 day week (170 miles)

F) Year-round/part time commuter

Bikes: Just a Raleigh C-200 with many upgrades

A) Occupation Teacher---Englsih Dept. Chair

B) Commuting Distance 10 miles round trip

C) When at work I a) shower b) change clothes/clean up c) don't change clothes and hope for the best/clean up although if it is really nasty and hot/humid, I have towels, soap, etc in the coaching office at school

D) Where bike is parked right next to my desk in my room

E) Number of years commuting 2 and 1/2

F) Year-round/part time commuter part time---I live and work in a suburb southwest of Cleveland. The routes that i would take to get to school, in the winter, can be quite dangerous. I don't commute during the winter, but I love it in the summers.

A) Technical Support/NOC support (no I'm not in India!)

B) 6-7 miles each way

C) When at work I don't change clothes and hope for the best. It's not that far a ride. I do sweat but I work in an operations center and there are no women that work here anymore. I'm by myself most of the night.

D) I bring the bike inside and sit it at my desk.

E) Less then 1

F) Part time commuter. My ride is far too dangerous to do in icy cold conditions.
