Lights on my Trucker ....
Check out my cycling blog for the information on my lights. I've added four more taillights (two on my helmet), and will be ordering the DiNotte 140 Pro Series Ultra Taillight soon!.

Here's mine for now. I see chuckfox's bike and now I want baskets and gonesh9 makes me want some stickers too. I am currently trying to make the transition to road bike riding. With drop handlebars and clipless pedals, I only thought I knew how to ride a bike.

Well, this bike is WAY too big for me. It is a 19" and I am only 5'1". My road bike is measured to fit but I got the Marin from someone else. I am thinking about selling it to get one that fits me better. I love it though with the Nexus inter 4-speed, I hate to sell it. So I look like a dork with the seat that low don't I? Low rider....LOL

Nexus 4? That`s kinda cool- I don`t think there are many fours floating around. When I was shopping and researching for my Nexus, Harris still listed them but they were eternally out of stock. Might still be listed and still out of stock, for all I know.

She's all bundled up! I like the bags...actual bike bags or something retooled? I just got my LHT too (in Truckachino) and fitting it out. Maybe ~100 miles so far and it's been great so far. How you liking the ride?

Here's my "new" commuter bike w/ homemade fenders
My latest commuter bike is a 1996 TREK 1220. I made fenders out of free scraps of coroplast from a local sign shop.

Second Stem - Bar for Arkel Handlebar Bag
Finally, somebody asked about the second headset! It's for my Arkel Big Bar Bag (still on back order). I have the second bar at home. Needs to be cut though, but I have to wait until I have the bag to see just how long to keep the bar.

I only had my Trucker for seven days ... then the accident! Hopefully will be ready to ride sometime next week ... All my bags -- Arkel Big Bar Bag, Carradice Long Flap, and four Ortlieb panniers with outer pockets, should be arriving soon!
I was still getting used to riding the Trucker, after riding my Townie for a little over a year, and my Switchback for about 17 years. I don't like the bar-end shifters. The saddle is very uncomfortable!
Since I rotated the bars, my knees aren't hitting the shifters, except sometimes when I'm starting off from a dead stop at a signal light.
The Trucker handles very nicely all around town! I can get up to speed (for me around 15mph) quickly. The 1.75 inch tires seem to handle the road very well, even the rougher roads.
Loaded down with stuff, including groceries, handles very well! I don't even notice the two 5-way bags, both on the left side. I thought for certain the Trucker would feel off balance, but I can't even notice that at all!
When I get the bike back, I'll need to test ride for a few miles to see if the brakes, including the interrupters, are adjusted correctly, before I rewrap the bars.

Add another LHT
I like the setup, but happy that I don't have to worry about that much gear! I mainly use my pack or a single pannier to work. Here's a pic from a few days ago enjoying the first day of sun in awhile on the bike path. Thinking next of maybe flipping the bars but that might be too low. So far, so fun!

well, have the lights on it now....love that engineering going on there heh heh heh. modified the cherry bomb for rack mounting ( i was busy doing custom attachments that night ). lights work very well, spotted a freebie sleeved heavy-ass chain on the side of the road, appears to be the same type as the NY locks chain, probably left by a roadside work crew. all i need is a damn good padlock.
all i have left are fenders, and i want to brite-bike the damn thing.

Nice Weekend to go to the beer store
Was a nice day over the weekend. Took 24 bottles of Heineken and 33 cans of Kokanee back to the beer store. Then got 24 more bottles of Kokanee using HybridBackpack. Try shoving all those bottles into a Pannier or trying tying it down with bungee cords. HybridBackpack did its job here.
