Low 40sF, and sunny, with a light headwind. I expected to see a lot of cyclists, but only saw 3 going the other way, and I passed a woman going my way. This afternoon is going to be a zoo on the MUP. I'm going to take roads. Supposed to be in the 70s F / 20s C. The first few truly nice days bring out the clueless hoards, and it's a holiday weekend.

Great commute at 42F and sunny with no wind. First time using my candence cyclocomputer. With staying around a certain cadence, i was actually a little bit faster this morning than i usually am.

could really feel last nights beers (and chimichanga) while pushing against the wind this morning... ugh.

The most beautiful morning commute this year. I just didn't want it to end, so I took it nice and slowwwww. Downside: the warmer air temperature added a distinct pungency to the aroma wafting from the garbage truck I was tailing.

Just dragged my butt back from 12hr night shift but the weather was sooo nice. No more frozen water bottles. The nice weather really brings people out onto the MUP's... Cheery happy people who've gotten a good night sleep and have the whole day off, I hate 'em!! Although when they're in the middle of their work week I'll be off for a bunch of days and thinking about what I can buy with my stat holiday pay
Can't wait to ride in this evening, just love the spring weather after riding through the tail end of winter.

40F and RAINY. Needed to hunt for places to hang gear so it even has a chance of drying by quitting time. Of course the rain is supposed to have picked up and added wind by then so it's not like even if it does dry it'll stay that way to the first traffic light...

Getting back into commuting mode... Actually commuted to work (4) times this week. (20 miles each way.) Felt great despite fighting severe headwinds in the afternoon. Especially today! I guess that it's the price to pay for enjoying the nice subtle tailwind in the morning...

Great commute on the way home. 73F and sunny with winds from the S @ 11mph. I kinda took my time due to the beautiful weather and somehow made it home earlier than i usually do. Got beeped at twice by cars. I'm pretty sure they were friendly beeps (short beeps) because the vehicles were going the other way, but i couldn't tell if i knew them or not. Also, the nice weather brought a few more bicycles. Unfortunately both of the ones i saw when i was coming across town were riding on the side walks. One was talking on his cell while riding and the other was texting.

All week the weather has just gotten better and better. By Thursday we had record warm days. 81f. Today it got up in the 80’s also. A lot better than last year. The morning was 58f. I started off with shorts and a long sleeve jersey but I got chilled as soon as I started. So I stopped and put on the leg warmers over the shorts and my rain jacket. (Showers Pass). Tom’rw morning will be the same, so I’ll just put on the workpants with ankle-clips and the rain jacket.

40 something F and spitting rain. I'd just gotten used to the sunshine and was uncharacteristically underdressed. Oh, well. It's a short ride.

I am so pissed right now I can't see straight. Damn bus driver about took me out. Mirror wized past my head less then a foot. If it had been lower I think it would have hit my shoulder.

Shoes mostly dried after spending the day stuffed w/ newspaper, socks not even close (but I have spares), inner gloves dry (whew, that was crucial), outer, not at all.

I had to make some adjustments to my commute after the first day. Kept getting buzzed by cars while attempting to turn left, not at a light, even with a kid trailer in tow.
After making some adjustments to my route I'm much more comfortable hauling the kids in the trailer to daycare. There is a main drag ( 40mph, 2 lanes in both directions, no turning lane, and a shoulder only on one side ) that I must travel to and from for maybe .2 miles. Thankfully the shoulder is on the side with our street. So I end up going right onto the main drag up to a crosswalk and then into the university. On the way home I cut through a different side street that intersects the main drag at a light up a ways, it's a left turn at a light onto the wide shoulder and just a short trip up to our street.
All in all my commute is a little more than 2 miles each way including a stop at daycare. It's enjoyable for all, my 3yo has started asking to take the bike to school ( ya, she doesn't have to pedal yet ).

Went out for a fun ride today. I stopped by neighborhood thrift store and purchased a nice wool sweater because my hoodie wasn't enough. 45.5 °F with some really bad gusts on the way to down town. I persevered and rewarded myself some pork fried rice from Chuck's Oriental Palace and then I found a really nice river bike path.

It was a good ride in and warm temps to boot at 10 C ( 50 F). On one hill up, my wallet popped out, and it is a good thing I was going up hill, otherwise I would have not heard it. It is a new wallet, so I need to adjust and put it some place else. There is still a feeling that the warm temps won't last, but until then, this is nice. Warm weather bike camping is on the horizon.

The word glorious comes to mind. Temps in the upper 50's and light traffic due to spring break. This is the way God intended commuting to be

Well, we had about 2 weeks of springlike weather after the coldest winter in years, and now it's turned to summer. Welcome to NC. The temperature has hit the high 80s here for the past few days and is supposed to be in the 90s this week. Couldn't we get just a few weeks of 70-degree weather?

Nice ride in this morning. 46F with a headwind that alternated between strong and non-existent. I reeled in a woman with nice quads.

Possible rain later.

Great commute to school this morning. 45F with sunny skies and no wind. Had a lot of energy and felt stronger than usual, especially when accelerating from stops.
