saddle bag for each kid. Also got them new locks, to put into those saddle bags. Just got the hardware store to cut a 4' length of 3/32 cable then loop and collar the ends, and a cheap-ass combo lock. Just enough to keep people from taking their bikes off the school rack onto joy rides.

Bikes: Still looking!
Last purchase? Giant bike computer. But it was the last of many today - Starting with the Jamis Coda Sport, and including the bike rack, fenders, lock, lights and miscellaneous accessories to go with it. If the bike was built yet I'd show you a pic, alas, I am picking it up tomorrow!

Bikes: 2010 Fuji Absolute 2.0

I just picked up this Citizen "Miami" 20" 6-speed folder from Craigslist for $175. Came with the optional rear carrier and bike storage bag. Total price if I were to buy it from the factory would have been $270.
It also came with two Bell rear blinkies, a small Schwinn air pump and two absolutely worthless Bell mirrors (already removed those - they gave a nice reflection of my hands). I'll add a proper bar end mirror at some point.
Not exactly a steal of a deal, but not to bad either in my opinion. The bike is like new, and the bike carrier is still in the plastic bag.
I sell at a car dealership and I plan to use the bike to run between our New & Used dealerships (1/4 mile door to door) for when it's too hot for me to ride my Fuji hybrid from home to work (without arriving as a sweaty mess).

Oh my... I bought lots of bike related stuff in the last month.
- a new Specialized Roubaix road bike
- tires, saddle, bar tape, gel pads, Topeak handlebar bag and pump mounts, SPD pedals and blinkies for the road bike (I need to Fred it up a bit so I'm not mistaken for a roadie when riding it)
- new Camelbak backpack
- new road helmet
- new summer (mesh) SPD shoes, extra cleats
- PB Protege 9 computer
- Tifosi sunglasses and Take A Look mirror
- various gloves, light merino socks, skullcaps, shorts, some merino tops
- Gore rain shell
- Surly Disc Trucker frame
- a set of wheels, fenders and Schwalbe Marathon tires for it (will reuse other parts from another bike)
- set of Shimano integrated MTB shifters for the Surly
- new BB7 brakes for the Surly
- new Jagwire cables for the Surly
- SPD pedals for the Surly
- Tubus racks for the above
- tubes for all my bikes
- I also got a Titec H-bar which turned out to be a failed experiment as I can't attach anything useful to it
I hope this is it for a while. I need to start riding more and shop less

Mavic A719 rims for my commuter. The braking surfaces on the old Mavics were getting dangerously concave and I'd hate to have a rim failure at 46 mph descending 14% Texas St. in the early morning darkness.

A tune up! Taking my bike into the shop for it tomorrow. Before that: replacement glasses (scattante echelons), and a second water bottle in preparation for this past weekends metric century.

Seems like every hobby I take up, results in an endless stream of parts purchases, whether they're really needed or not. I think I might be a hoarder.
Lately:
SunTour XC rear derailleur for the '88 Bianchi, so I can run a triple
Reach-Around fender brackets from River City Cycles (I'm looking to add fenders to my road bikes, but I don't want to run skinnier tires in order to accomplish that)
spare Panaracer Pasela 700x28s
- Scott
P.S. Oh, and I bought a chain, some new tires/tubes, and a shifter cable for my girlfriend's project bike.

A flashlight, mount, a pair of 18650 cells from DX and a charger from Shiningbeam should be here by the end of the week.

Mavic A719 rear wheel with Deore XT hub and double butted spokes for my touring bike. The rim had been sitting at the LBS since last July but a 36 spoke non-disc hub is apparently difficult to find. They gave up on the regular channels and ordered one out of the US for me.

Lets see the latest things that I have purchased that are bicycle related. I got a Metropolis Chrome bag which is the largest one that they make, I really enjoy the quick release buckle and the size which can accommodate a lot of groceries. And I have also acquire a Niterider Minewt 350 which is great, USB chargeable with 350 Lumens =) I am very happy with those recent purchases and high recommend them.
