Post pics of your bike parked at work.

Ha, my supervisor said the same thing. In fact, she said make that spot my permanent bike parking spot
I agreed. I am just against leaving my bike outside. I will not even leave my beater outside. Also, I have one worker that doesn't like me and complains about the bike. We just had an office move of 8 people to another part of the building. I was included and that worker wasn't.

My 65 year old neck and shoulders groan at the sight of such a riding position in traffic.

That is a great spot.
This was my parking situation today:
The picture doesn't show it well, but it was not so simple to get the bike to the rack because the blue Kawi was almost right up against the rack and the cruiser is closer to the wall than it appears in the photo.

Out of curiosity, what kind of place do you work at? Your employers attitude is very non-Bay Area...

There's more to the story, though.
I used to park my bike in the parking garage (permission from the deputy executive director) until some union members (I'm a union member also - but only because I have to be) started complaining to management - "Why does Chris get to park in the basement, but we don't?" - even though these people that complained have never ridden their bikes to work.
After that ordeal, I made room in my cubicle, and started parking my bike there. A certain senior-staff person put a quick stop to that - "Do you realize how much dirt is tracked in by those tires? We don't want tire marks on our carpet!" Not sure why we're allowed to wear shoes into the building, because they do just that, but whatever.
The bike rack was installed outside, and "Agency funds had to be spent because of my riding to work." Several have complained about burst tire tubes due the sun & heat exposure (I being one of them). We couldn't think of anything else would explain the occurrence of several popped tubes.
This particular director was shortly thereafter released of her duties, never to be seen or heard from again.
After I explained the situation to some other directors (who happen to bike to work occasionally), they sided with me, and got the bike rack installed in the secured, covered parking garage.
I'm sure it won't be long before the union has something to say about it...again.
Gotta love office politics and bickering.

I have 2 offices for the same job. Am able to bring the bike in at both locations. It is nice to not have to have it outside in the weather. Not every department or location in the building would accommodate it either. There is some indoor parking but those are further and would have to lock the bike up there.
Empty cube seconds from my desk.

Secondary office parked right in front of my desk.

I've got it pretty good. I moved into a brand new building two years ago and they really put a lot of thought into bike facilities. Why you'd think they were actually encouraging it.

My ride in its home at the office. Caged area in the underground parking with door card access. Storage for at least 80 bikes. Separate Pedestrian/Bike door and ramp. Day use lockers. And not least of all...adjacent showers!

Ironically (I guess) yes. The bldg management put the brand new bike rack in one of the M/C spaces, thus ensuring some conflict between cyclist types. I'm pretty sure there are a few other motorcycle spots, but definitely no other bike racks in my section of the garage.

It's common practice here in Taiwan for people to move other's bikes and scooters and I don't want anyone messing with mine, so I park away from the crowd of scooters and handful of bikes. Most people also ride nondescript bikes to school or for general transportation. I'm sure mine is by far the most expensive on school grounds. I lock up at the back of the building, between a planter box and a sprinkler supply line so kids won't be messing with it. I do want to get a lock for the front wheel just to make sure.

I also can't think of any place to park it out of the weather. That would be nice. Since I'm in Taiwan, I don't think I can buy special keyed bolts unless I want to pay double or triple the price for shipping.

are you serious? every reasonable bike shop must have them. even in germany, they're only like 5€ a set.
