Good to hear. I'm a bit jealous as you're living in one of my favorite areas in the world. Have a scone and clotted cream for me.

I was going to start sailing lessons but I went for a super hard run and passed out and ended up shattering the end of my collarbone

All better now and will start those lessons ASAP

What kind of boats? I belong to a local sailing club that sails small boats on a city lake. It's a cheap and easy way to sail without the hassles of boat ownership. Anyway, a surprising number of members have backgrounds in technical fields (and a lot bike). I haven't quite figured out the connection between technical fields and the interest in sailing.

When I've sailed there it's always been in an RS of some form. Got to sail an RS Aero and now just need to find the money for one. Awesome boat.

Grew up sailing a Laser. I'm sure I'd enjoy an Aero.

Do I understand right, you were running so hard you passed out and broke your collar bone? Wow. I've figuratively crashed and burned whilst running, but from tripping, not from passing out. I'm too lazy to run that fast. Glad you're healing.

Laser's are great fun. My path mostly went from Opti's to scows to sport boats to a family and the need to simplify. These days I sail dinghy's for fun and occasional racing and go out on friend's cruisers. The Aero is a blast but will wipe you out in much more than a light breeze.

What boats does your club have?

You broke your collar bone while running? Yikes!

Is sailing also going to part of your long term BSO test commentary? Better wear a life preserver/flotation device at all times.

Hello again!

It seems that I'm going to buy a house and will be commuting by bicycle (rather than walking) to work again ... seems like it's time to fire up the Mango again for daily commuting duty

Thanks man, glad to be back. Will get the bike out of the garage and tuned up for commuting duty again!

Moved to the south and am now closing on a house when I can bike into work (currently it's a 5 min walk, so I don't ride in.)

Welcome back!

I was thinking of you just Friday. An article I was perusing made you pop into my mind.

Best of luck with the house purchase!

We expect every expense from the "restoration" to be accounted for in this thread.

Needed to get the rocket ready again for daily commuting activity in a very dense urban environment, so I called in reinforcements in the form of a riser bar and green Orange grips as the description clearly details ...

... only the best for Marley
