I left the house at 2pm as it had finally warmed up and all my chores were finished. The ride was 20 miles headed north first as the wind was coming from that direction making my ride home easier.

Dang, is that a 63+/-cm great looking 531 frame that matches the '66 Stang color? :thumb::thumb: Great color for the car but I prefer the Acapulco Blue of my 1968 GT350 Shelby flikr link (not showing ?) . |

That's cheating! You're supposed to ride like (with) the wind until you can't go any further and then worry about the ride home
Headed out at 12:45AM this morning and half way down the block it started to sprinkle rain drops so back home. Waited until 2:21AM and tried again. Got 4.0 miles in before some more sprinkles and by 4.9 miles it was almost full on rain so took a direct line home and finished with a whopping 5.75 rain soaked miles. :notamused: |

With the recent snow and the cold, looks like I'll be indoors for a while..

50 miles with 2600ft. of climbing. 46 degrees at just before 10. Was 65 when I got home. Sun all day.

93km today, at a 21kph pace. That gets me up to 501km this month so far. I can’t believe it was only 17 days ago that I got in my first ride of the year. It helps that I got through the holiday season without putting on any weight. I should be able to reach 800km before the end of the month, that will be a new personal record for January. I plan to get in 100km on Friday, and do a couple rides out to the countryside next week.

I have owned the '66 since the summer of '82 - purchased in near Mobile Alabama (I was 19 at the time). |

35 miles with 1500ft of climbing. Still recovering from donating blood last Thursday so it was a slow pace. Dang it takes me way longer to get over that than it used to.
|
102 km today. Funny that I feel less tired today after 100km than I did 3 weeks ago after 40km. I have a busy weekend, then an appointment for a new passport on Monday, if the weather is clear on Tuesday, I’ll shoot for another 100km. If I can that, and another ride on Friday, I’ll hit my 800km goal for January.
February’s goal will be 1000km. |
Out at 2:57AM again in misty-cold for SW FL-windy weather (but at least not snow) for 13.31 miles. Tomorrow's AM forecast is for 10℉ colder than this AM soooo - upper 30's

Today, I left the house at 12:30pm with every intention of going over to the center to take a class but due to the temp being 51f degrees with blue skies, and winds at 12mph I decided to take a long bike ride. So I was able to get a 21 mile bike ride in today. Though due to not having any one who can rescue me I did my circle ride again. It was a nice day to be out riding. |
|
I left the house at 10:45 am and rode for 27.5 miles. The weather was pleasant with the temp at 65f degrees and sunny skies.

My Garmin Adaptive Training Coach isn't giving me enough to do. They wanted a 30 minute recovery ride. I stretched it to ean easy hour outside while the sun shone.

"Did you ride today?"
It was not today, but yesterday. Sunday. I chose a trail that I tried 2 times before. once on a gravel bike (failed) the next time on a carbon hardtail...success. Since then I've hung up the hardtail. I am out of shape and wanted a workout. the weather was clear but temps were mid 50s. so I went for it. I loved the ride. I found a new short side trail that was beautiful. I wish that segment was 5x longer. but after I connected to the main trail I crept up to Skyline. With many 20+% grades https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...86e4679529.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...288371388.jpeg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...dadc2765f1.jpg |

Nope, didn't ride today. Gotta admit, I'm a cold weather wuss. But the bitter cold that hit here is on its way out, so should get a ride in soon. Plus we're forecast for a good rain Thursday night (1/30) into Friday, which hopefully will wash the salt/chemicals off the roads. C'mon spring!

Just over 35 miles with 1900 feet of climbing. That put me just over 500 for the month, which is more than I’ve ever done in January. I credit much of that to the fact we have had just one rainy day this month.
https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...b5f6a5cdf.jpeg River should be flowing good this time of year. |
Oof. Hard climb today. Thankfully my Wahoo trainer has low enough gears that I could spin my way up. So as hard as it was, it's not as hard as running out of low gears in real life and having to grind to the top.
