The weekend was pretty much a wash-out -- or at least the weatherman said it would be. Turns out it was dry enough I could have gotten several good, short rides in. I've gotten into this dumb thing on the weekends, where if I can't do a century, I don't even ride. Stupid. I did buy a new car last week though, so I had fun scouting out some wonderful rides in the highlands area of VA, west and north of Lexington. I WILL do the 118-miler I scoped out next weekend.

But did I ride today (meaning yesterday.) Yes, the usual 25 mile after work ride in D.C. Ugh. I want my mountains back!

Did my 20 miler. Windy. The last 2 Saturday's my usual ride with my buddy was rained put. I biked on my own later in day but he is faster then me and I've missed those rides. I can tell I'm a bit slower. Hopefully we ride this Saturday.

30 minute run. I'm getting there. Felt fine running 8 minute miles.

Rained out yesterday so today's blue skies and bright sun made for a nice and muggy 44 mile ride.

20 miler. Leaving for a quick overnight business trip, don't know if I'll be back early enough to ride tomorrow or not. Keep pedaling !!

21 miles today as a Bike Commuter. Beautiful, very comfortable weather.

We had our 5th of 6 Time Trials at Charlotte Motor Speedway tonight. Wind made the riding more difficult than normal. My time might have been my highest this year. Hopefully I retained 2nd or third in my category.

We also held our Team Time Trial Event after the individual event which had a really nice turnout. We had 27 4-person teams.

All our events are 7 laps or 10 miles.

A nice 44 mile ride this morning. Got my ride in before the rains started.

Rode to where I work and back (another weigh-in). Hot, humid and windy. . . .

My ride was a nice 26+ miler in our area. Made some crit laps for 9 miles then rode the balance as a high effort workout. Felt good after a frustrating day at work. Glad to be back posting here after getting my health problems sorted out.

Today was just like yesterday.

20 miler today. After missing yesterday I was ready to ride. Love having temps below 90 here in North Carolina.

12 miles off road on a levee on the San Francisco Bay. Novato to San Rafael and back. 3 rd week riding after TKR

25.55 miles this afternoon, nice riding weather with low humidity, for a nice break. Isn't supposed to last, the winds switch to the SSE and the humid air comes back up from the Gulf.

46 mile club ride at 19.6, new speed record for me and feel it. Nice to cruise even for a bit at 24 MPH, now how to sustain it...

68 miles yesterday, 18 mph ave, 75F with 80% humidity, sprinkles of rain and light winds. All in all nice weather for riding, minus the wind.

Awesome ride, took advantage of the cool temps and got out early.

Drove to Morgan Monroe State Forest for a 20 mile ride in and around the park, including a nice climb up Bean Blossom Road, one of the memorable Hilly Hundred hills.

Rained out yesterday. This morning, I did a really nice 29 mile family ride with the wife, daughter and son-in-law. Made it home just before the rains started.
