Thanks much, Jim, its nice to be back here and hearing from everyone, again. Just sorting out some health issues is all. Didn't stop riding, though!

20 miler. I should ride further but I'm big on good daily routines and it's working.
16.75 this evening with my wife. Took her new Cannondale out. She will be a good rider if she keeps it up. |
Did some single track with the Salsa yesterday, ended up along the Lynn River. 25Km total.

Rode late yesterday afternoon/evening due to bidding on a contract for our company, and we were not successful. Another 25+ mile ride, surprisingly mild weather and low humidity, also. Used 12 miles on a criterium layout (4 laps pushing things hard.)

20 miler today. Felt slow. Looked at the watch when I was done...I was slow. Four minutes slower then yesterday. Track workout tonight, just me and my feet, no bike, 6x800. I will bike for 10-15 minutes as part of my warm up.

Rode out to our local Wally World (via Rotary Park, of course) for my inhaler. Kind of told me how my lungs are after being sick for the last few days. . .

Very nice but hot 44 mile ride using a new route. It's a much faster route with lots more shade along the way.
|
The usual this afternoon, fairly hot today, but lower humidity, for here (~75%) 25.1 miles of great riding.
Bill |
A twenty mile day riding to and from work. Very muggy but not hot in the AM.
|
Been commuting as usual all week, about 32 miles round trip.
|
Hot with high humidity. My normal 20 mile ride. It was a sweat-fest. I had a great time.
|
2 hour ride after work. I don't know how far since the bike computer started acting weird during the ride. But no matter, this sunset made it all worth it.

Did a 'Mini Le Tour de Bullhead" on the mountain bike (on the mountain bike it feels like a lot longer compared to the Raleigh). Got to Rotary Park, saw the lightning, turned around and headed home. . . .

29 miles at 19.6. However for first time rode with my group in this setting before getting dropped. We drive to park and leave at 7AM.
We rode 8 miles then two laps around Homestead Race Track (6.2 miles per lap). Stayed with group on first lap at about 22 MPH. So far so good! On second lap goal is 25 or less, so kept up for half the lap at 23-25 MPH. At that time was averaging 21 for about 16 miles-fastest ever for me. Then got dropped and limped home mostly alone when average reduced. Anxious to try again as they do these interval type rides twice a week and regular 21 or less MPH ride on Saturday. FWIW I'm oldest rider, although very fast ones are in 55-64 age group. |
Nice, but very hot 35 miles this morning. Wind picked up a little toward the end but it didn't help with the heat much.
|
The regular 25 mile distance, the temperature was in the mid 90's with the heat index, while riding, of 105°F. Took it carefully with hydration, not a hard workout, no wind to fight with.

20 miles between pop up storms.finally temps back into the 80's.
