27 miles today with my favorite stoker on a tandem club Raceday Ride (we're in Indy).
Just 5 teams and we all rode together on flat rural roads. Stoker ahead of us is pretty good at taking pics with her cell. http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z...M/IMG_4138.jpg My stoker and me on the left. Not passing. Very little traffic out there today. http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z...day%202015.jpg |
Did Mountains of Misery for the 5th time. 101 miles, 10K+ of climbing. Felt decent overall except for my feet and my rear end. As I predicted, I ended up walking the last half mile or so. I'm 3 for 5 on making it all the way up without stopping. I think this is definitely going to be my last one. Probably.

24.74 miles @ 17.2 mph avg power 173 watts. Turned out to be a great day for a ride. Finished just in time as it started to get crazy with everyone coming out to meander about.

Rode 30 miles with my wife. I can't believe the progress she is making riding. She is much more careful then me while out riding. We've both really enjoy the time we spend together on bikes. Makes for good conversation at the house.

One of the Kiwanis Coffee Riders took us on a new route today for a beautiful 16 mile ride. Two long but gentle hills and downhill all the way back, mostly wide residential streets thru Kiley Ranch and Sky Ranch areas (had to take the car 8 miles to get to the start of the ride). It's supposed to rain this afternoon and that should be the end of it. Sunshine and highs in the mid 80s thereafter. 2015: 1770 Miles ♂ Weekly Avg: 107 2013–2015: 6444 Miles – Wk Avg: 109 |
Eleven miles with one hill and one flat, smooth, mile-long stretch in the low-to-mid 20's with a tailwind, of course.

Not since Saturday due to inclement weather. However, sat. was a good ride of 23 miles with some wicked little rollers that are typical of sw Wi.. Rode with a friend who is a slow (slower than me) rider so it kept me at a nice easy pace.

Catching up from the long weekend
Saturday 55.6 miles @ 17.9 rolling ave on the club ride Sunday 25.9 miles @ 17.7 rolling ave on a solo ride Monday 50.1 miles @ 13.9 rolling ave, solo ride with a few climbs. |
Nice and windy 35 mile ride this morning. Today was a little cooler than it's been the past week, but still in the 90's. Low rain clouds helped cool the wind so that was a plus.

Another gorgeous day. 22 fast miles on the Allez and a taco salad lunch at the Senior Center. I'm loving retirement.

17.5 miles today. Ton of wind. It's no wonder the Wright Brothers learned to fly here. In the morning there seems to be little wind, late afternoon the wind picks up.
8 miles after work today.
46 miles after work, including 25 on the C&O Canal from Georgetown to Great Falls and back. Legs still pretty fried from Sunday's MoM ride.
12.3 miles @ 20.1 rolling ave this morning before work
Still can't seem to get rid of this wind. Another very windy 45 mile ride with the humidity being higher than the temperature (80º - 84%) at the start of the ride.
30.5 miles @ 16.7 Predicted T-Storms never materialized.
17.5 miles today. Windy and sunny !!!
Ten miles after work today.
18.5 relaxed miles. Perfect cycling weather, 75F and almost no wind.
A brief break in the rain this week, got out this morning before work for 22.3 @ 20.2 avg.
A very nicely paced, 43 mile ride this morning with one of my cycling teammates. Hot, humid and windy so I let him pull through the headwinds since he's about 14 years younger than I am.
25 miles on a beautiful morning. Giving some serious thought to doing a bit of the Udder Century.
8 easy miles on the Screamer today. Next three days we'll be riding with 25-30 other tandem teams. Should be twice the fun!
Did a short hop on the Raleigh (need to check the bottom bracket), the first time since messing up my knee (also the first since converting it to a 24-speed). . .
35 miles this morning in some unexpectedly cool weather (65*). Unfortunately, it didn't stay that way for long but still great weather for riding.
