I did see that last night (actually this morning) and have to agree. That is a truly inspiring view and as you said would gladly do that run every day.

Had a very enjoyable 38 mile, solo ride this morning. I've been hammering it every day this week since Saturday's MS-150. Today, I decided that I would just get on the bike and do an easy ride since I have three more group/friends rides over the Memorial Day weekend. The legs thanked me for it. :D

Did the usual "Le Tour de Bullhead". . . .

Lazy day yesterday. Slightly overdressed for today's 19.2 mile ride on the Allez. Finally getting warmer. The Roubaix goes into the shop Sat for derailleur hanger repair.

I'd be eating a Grouper Sandwich.

Rode a little different route, including a hill (huff-puff). 18.1 on the Allez. Left the Roubaix at Sierra Cyclesmith (10 miles away) for a tricky repair (broken mounting rivet front derailleur hanger-carbon fiber). Keeping fingers and nose hairs crossed.

The ampersand (&) symbol is formed from the letters in "et"—the Latin word for and.

30 miles this morning, down the North Augusta Greenway and then up the Augusta canal to the lock and back.

14.25 miles down to the James River in Richmond, VA and back home. Time - 54:34 for an avg speed of 15.7 mph. Beautiful day outside (finally!).

the rushing water.

Late start made for a very hot 54 mile ride with my buddy Frankie this morning. It was a little slower than what I was hoping for but all-in-all, a great ride with a really good friend.

38 miles Friday evening/night, between a local Critical Mass ride and the rides to and from the event. I'm finally in good enough shape that my legs, lungs and asthma are no longer holding me back, but the neck pain later keeps me from consecutive days of riding.

JanMM 05-28-16 06:55 PM

6 miles Friday eve riding around our neighborhood looking for areas without streetlights - city is asking for feedback on a streetlight project.
11 miles today on Screamer with favorite stoker - rode to memorial markers for my inlaws at cemetery to plant a flag and tidy things up a bit, too.

Yes I did. In every day in May so far (due to National Bike Month). 41 miles today on my club's breakfast ride (me in the glasses).

167 miles this week.

689 miles this month (most I've ever ridden in a month).

Good grief, I just now realized that was you leading Critical Mass Friday night! In real life you're... taller. Much.

I was the feller in the blue jersey playing caboose, hanging back with the kid who was doing his best to keep up. Eventually I'll get to know a few more names. That was a good ride, really enjoyed it. Thanks for taking the reins.

Water break at the start of another ridge climb session...

Great morning for another ride, my third "big one" in as many days. I first for me...

Fantastic Saturday riding. 78 miles total of which 39 were with the LBS group. Had to give up a sample at the end for testing....:D Finally getting my legs back after a 1 year journey with prostate cancer but another pothole might have appeared. Had a thyroid biopsy on Friday with results in a couple of days but as they say.... it will be what it will be.

Wasn't planning on riding this morning after a 266 mile week and a 50 mile Memorial Day ride tomorrow, but I got talked into it by my riding buddies so I rode 37 miles this morning with them. A really nice day for a ride and, as it turned out, a really nice ride.

Greybeard712 05-29-16 12:56 PM

Memorial Day weekend is the "unofficial" start of summer. Sorts n' short sleeved shirt. A little cool to start but warmed up by 9:30. 23.8 on the Roubaix.

In Washington D.C. no one knows who invented the fire hydrant because the patent office burned to the ground in 1836.

Intended to ride only a few miles Sunday to stretch my legs before a grocery run, ended up riding a 24 mile detour. Hardest part was the mile-long uphill slog home with 20 lbs of kitty litter and another 20 lbs of groceries on the back.

25 miles on the local tandem club's HOOTs Raceday Rally ride followed by a cookout pitch-in and watching/listening to the 500.

Miele Man 05-29-16 09:44 PM

Rode 10 kms out to the country Saturday and attached another bicycle by its front fork to my rear rack and then towed it about 20 kms to a buddy whom I gave the bike to.

Need to ride the 10 kms out and back again twice in order to pick up two other freebie dropbar bikes.

Cheers

bfuser1509851 05-29-16 10:34 PM

Rode about twenty miles. I had only planned to ride about five; but I've been on vacation and without a bike, so I missed riding.

John_V 05-30-16 01:04 PM

Rode our annual Memorial Day, Citrus Park to Safety Harbor Ride with the Coast 2 Coast riders. It was suppose to be 53 miles but some of the riders were getting overheated, so we cut the ride short and ended up with 44 hot and humid miles. Great ride along the beach and around the bay.

54 mile club ride this morning in the flat farmland to the southeast of Indy. To paraphrase a previous poster, the hills were NBD. (There weren't any.)
