Ninham the last two days of riding. An up-tick in timer shots this time of year - it's too ****ing hot and humid to be pedaling balls out, so stopping to session nd play happens a lot more.

Pork carnitas. Mmmmmmm! http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f1...e/IMG_1958.jpg |
No pix, just riding: White Ranch, Indian Creek, Apex, 3 Sisters, White Ranch, Pipeline/7 Bridges.
Ahhhhh, feels good man. |
First time riding trails since the thaw. A friend who just got into trail riding last fall and I hit up a local trail. Not as epic as some of the beauties you guys are posting, but we like it. The ground was a little damp, just a titch past tacky. Lots of downed trees to pick your way through. We did about two hours until my friend said "I think my heart's gonna explode." though from love or pain I didn't ask.
also, after 5 years of singlespeeding, my right knee is screaming: give me some ****ing easier gears, ya moron! I am now saving up for a shiny new Transition TransAm. Can I get a hell yeah. |

The Captain Double-D Enduro was fuuuuun!
Not DFL, no broken bones, no mechanicals during the race, so it was a great success. http://imageshack.us/a/img600/4474/20130608074932.jpg Loaded up & ready to head to the top... http://imageshack.us/a/img43/6421/20130608085805.jpg ..but the truck decided against it. Some quick thinking, re-shuffling of people & bikes got us rolling. http://imageshack.us/a/img585/1089/20130610092732.jpg I thought my drivetrain felt strange in the final run. Fell into 2 pieces as I was cleaning up this morning. |
^^Very cool.
Ah, but you got skunked of the fun of riding inside the box truck, trying to hold you and your bike upright in the dark around hairpin turns with dust seeping in through every crack :D. |
Shot this last night, night after the supermoon. It's the best spot I can see the lights of suburbia some 30-35km's away where I live.

Well, this report's a little old - - three weekends ago on Mt. Spokane. A great day of shuttling: good group, hero dirt and perfect weather.
Be forewarned: LONG (18 minute) video. I purposely only edited out the catch-up stops to give a feel for how stinkin' long one run can be. This was last run of the day, a full top-to-bottom that strings together 3 unique trails into a nearly-continuous downhill run. https://vimeo.com/69656846?email_id=Y2xpcF90cmFuc2NvZGVkfDA4OWYyNTQwMjk2MmI0NTZjZjczMDY3MTE4ZTBkNTA1MzM1fDE5MzA2MDYxfD EzNzI4OTIyNTE%3D&utm_campaign=7701&utm_medium=clip-transcode_complete-finished-20120100&utm_source=email |

Took a mini road trip over nd up into MA and NH. Rode a couple cool spots, rode with some cool people. Nasty hot and humid. Slow and veryhard techy riding one day, fast and flow the next. The third day allowed me to discover that even though it's gotless trail, the quality of trail at Highland Mtn. kicks Diablo in the gnoolies. I'll be back, it just sucks that it's a 3.5 hour drive vs. the 1.5 for Diablow.

I prefer this method over paid advertising which costs money.
For the record, they're giving you a bad time because your post is spam, which - - had I been doing more diligent moderating duty - - would have already deleted so that you would not have had to feel so insulted. As it is, your penance for unsolicited advertising in an enthusiasts' forum that survives by PAID membership and advertising is to take a little more ribbing at the hands of the paid members before I delete it and send you a notice that you are welcome to upgrade your membership so that you can post your service in the Marketplace or become an advertiser in BikeForums by contacting Gail Doukakis at Gail.doukakis@internetbrands.com. Last night's Bicycle Butler group ride was Iller Creek loop trail on the edge of Spokane. Not a terribly long ride distance-wise; but the climb to the top is a good pull - - 1,200 feet in the course of a couple miles. The reward is the descent back into the Iller Creek drainage - - full-bore romp in a train of about nine guys. Gotta watch out for the hikers but man, was it fun.

I set off to ride a trail I hadn't yet ridden since being here in Boulder (Betasso Link, Canyon Loop, etc.) I was greeted by a giant wall of rocks and dirt that I walked up. The SS has been beaten. Once at the "top" the thunder warned me to turn around and go home and try again another day but I didn't listen. I took this when that happened:
https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.n...48468969_n.jpg The sprinkles started then the sky opened up and lightning and thunder scared me back home. I think this is my favorite trail so far out here and can't wait to get more time out there. I am now on the couch still trying to warm up from being frozen and coasting down the mountain. |
