1, Rode the trails (6 of them) near my house, all forest, very muddy, very rooty.
2, 20 miles or so
3, Two stacks on hidden roots and a near collision with a fallen tree!!
4, Clear skies and fairly breezy.
5, Mental note to myself: fit the crudguard next time Horse poo don't taste too good!!!

Today is my first ride into the trail near my house using my Anthem. Just recovered from a throat infection yesterday so I did not push myself. Anyway surprisingly I managed to cycle a total of 20km (mostly uphill) with only using the middle front chain ring and I dont feel anything.

Kay, todays ride was very nice, the wind is very cooling and this helped in preventing my self from heating up. Oh yeah almost forget, when I almost reach the top of the trail, there is a puppy, it came near my bike and suddenly. Bam! its mother started chasing me. Im like WTF!!!, so I raced uphill and the mom left me. Haha, anyway it was a enjoying ride although I recovered from yesterday :D

Kay, yesterday was not my day with animals. I got chased TWICE by different group of dogs. Here goes:

It was a morning cycling routine and I decided to go someplace new today. When I reach the crossover to my sis college the road was too busy so I decided to use the mountain path and hoping I could skip the traffic.

So, to go to my sis college via Mountain path, I must pass a construction site which is on the top of the hill to reach my sis college. Its just begin construction so its not so dangerous. When I went downhill I met a group of dogs. At first they doesnt seem to bother me. After visiting my sis college there where it happen.

I was cycling up the hill and a puppy came to me, "Oh ****!" and here comes the puppy's mama chasing me and to make matter worst, her group comes along I was like "aarrrggghhhhhh". I cycle up the construction site path like a cat running from the dogs and I was cycling at a 2X5 chainline. The dogs stop chasing me when I reach half of the hill. Then I went to a lower gear and continue cycling.

When I went downhill another dog chases me.

Such a day

Got around to hopping on the bike about the time the sun went down. I rode over to some local deer trails and rode up and down the hills. Because of my three (yes, three) headlights and high power taillight one of the local ranchers drove his truck out to the fenceline to make sure I wasn't riding a motorcycle on the bike trail. I saw quail and jackrabbits in my headlights, but no deer even though I saw lots of fresh tracks. the narrow deer trails on the side of very steep hills can be a real adrenaline rush in pitch dark with only your headlights to see by at speed. Then on the way back home I saw a 4x4 that had gotten stuck headlight deep in soupy mud, driving where it wasn't supposed to be. Justice. Riding my bike keeps me sane some days, other days it makes me wonder how sane I am, when I ride in the dark.

Fuh, todays ride was nice, not a Mountain ride though, its a Road cycling event around the island (80 km's), the coolest part is my uphill is faster then those roadies :-), woo hoo!!!! The worst part is my Anthem headtube has a deep scratch mark (paint chipped off), I believe a flying rock must have hit it. Damn Giant paint quality sucks

I just got back in to riding about 3 miles a day up the hills where i live.

No, No, No... you have it all wrong. The riding in Pisgah sucks. The only real place to ride is at Tsaili. I would not EVER bother going to ride in Pisgah.

Andy...did I sound convincing at all?

I rode some local singletrack at Country Park on Saturday. I also spent a little time at the bike park working on my lack of skillz in dirt jumping. Then I got out the camera and managed to get off a few decent frames. My Saturday was pretty cool.
