Talk to me February, and we'll see who is envious. Fall in NE is beautiful though, I'm up to eight straight days in a row with a ride and I see no signs of stopping.
And yeah, I'll still be posting up some ride reports later in winter when it's down to single and teen digit days. :) No worries if it's a bit warm - it's still a beer I had on the trail hough having icewater in the thing is nice in general when the temps and humidity out here get beyond a certain point. |

|
Oh. For some reason I thought he was riding with a bunch of roadies.
|
He prob. was...he was "representing for the MTB's"...meaning he was showing skinny tired drop-bar cru that fat tire freaks can spin with the best of 'em.
|
Hey, Dan-
Did you ride the feature in the third pic? |
Yes.

As I've just found out, mountain biking is like a lot of things in life: Everything goes great until you hit that proverbial wall. Only with mountain biking, that wall is really a tree, and that tree is far from proverbial. . . cranksets get damaged, helmets get gouged, and left wrists get re-injured.
The crankset part doesnt matter as I ordered one last night. |

Here we are at the entracne to Cindarella yesterday. Did two runs and a little suspension tuning.
http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...0930091754.jpg What you can't see so easy in the picture is my gorrilla tape tubless setup! It worked great. Now about today's ride... I was spinning my way down to the coffee shop on a damned paved bike path... i attempted a "maneuver"... gorrilla tape tubless failed me and front tire blew off the rim. I did fall. There were witnessess. The kind who say "o my god are you okay?". Lesson learned. single ply folding tires and non-ust rims running tubeless not the best choice for certian "maneuvers". Somewhere in my head I already knew this. I've taken "head knowledge" and made it "scab knowledge" by stupid living. |
I really like this pic for some reason..
