Everyone in Canada has to do that, regardless of nationality.

. . . with our arms trussed crucifix-style to a hockey stick?

BTW, did you get to Merlin's for the $5 burgers and questionable-but-cheap brews?

Here's hoping it's not that bad.
Saw the doctor yesterday and I don't need surgery...yee-haw. Have to see another specialist about rehab, etc., this Friday but I should be able to start trail riding right away.

Apparently not, I didn't find anything that I would describe as cheap. The views from the top of whistler are worth it though..

Out of curiosity, what pressures were you running prior to IFP removal? What pressure now?
Without the IFP: running ~95 in the one big chamber, none on the damper side preload. If running preload air, I was able to get the fork to feel about the same with ~35psi in the main air spring chamber - but then had that top out click. Fork feels the same. just one gets a click, one doesn't. Taht gets me roughly 30% sag. I'm around 165# all geared up on the bike.

Stock: 0psi in preload, 60psi in ATA, 90psi in PAR.

Beautiful! No wonder Garby is only now opening.

Wednesday I think is the night of cheap beer at Merlin's (Maelstrom can say for sure); and palatable if it's something like Kokanee Gold. I like full-bodied ales, porters and stouts (like the whole Deschutes lineup) and it seems to be all pales and lagers up there.

Dear lord, I wish I could find the Deschutes stuff somewhere out east. :drooooooool:

Yes, even the local ales (ipa's, bitters..) I had up there were a little bland.. but there was a good stout on a nitro tap that was good, even though it was a little low on the abv.

What those beers lacked in quality, I made up for with quantity..

Those are Australian dollars, can't you look for some Monopoly money lying around the house?

That was my experience as well. I think the best I found was at the brewery.

Kokanee should be served to prisoners only.

Hey, it wasn't that long ago that Canadian dollars were kinda that way too . I used to love buying advertising in the Calgary and Edmonton markets; the exchange rate almost made the outrageous line-rates affordable.

It strikes me as the north-of-the-border equivalent of PBR.

Most big brand beers in Canada suck.

I know it, I was just poking back at BFG for his "bugger bloody Canada Day" comment.

Haha, but wasn't Canada Day the day before I posted that? I don't know. It's a nice bike though.

Finally I have a few days off, might do some mountain biking or some XC

I'll post a thread with pics if it's anything worthwhile.

Yeah

Might go riding later on, going out today..

See how I go.

I need some new tyres..

I got some ones off another bike, only to realise my bike is a 20 x 1.95 rim, the other tyres fit 20 x 1.75 rim max

I need something which will go well off road, in dirt, mud, gravel etc..

Well, today I'm going to check my brake pads, compare them with my spares, and change them if need be. I'm also going to change my brake levers.

Well THAT was a waste of time.

New pads were a different design and wouldn't fit anyway

Decided to do the levers another day.

Thanks d...feels good to be riding again, I've gotten in a bunch of mountain rides in the past week. I was told I can ride trail all I want, just no DH for a while. Sounds like I'll still need surgery but not until the fall.
