So I'm riding my bike down my street, and I go to get up a gutter when my front wheel landed funny and slipped. I fell, but I wasn't going very fast, so I got back on and kept riding. Bike seemed fine, no odd noises or problems shifting at all....until I went to shift down gears..
Rear derailleur hanger was bent, got thrown into the spokes and snapped off

This weekend:
Option 1) day trip Saturday to ride Pisgah/Dupont with some cool chicks, superbowl throwdown on sunday
Option 2) road trippin' Fri/Sat/Sun to Ray's in Cleveland with bros, would probably miss most of the superbowl
I'm thinking 2)

What is this work thing that you guys speak of and why is it interfering with riding and general good-times?

I'm getting ready to drink the 29er kool aid.
On-One 16" Inbred 29er frame + 2009 Reba Sl 120mm fork + some medium duty house brand 29er wheels + 2.2" Nevegals. Swapping the rest of the parts needed to build it up from my hardtail SS for the expirement. Whichever of the two ends up working out the best will become the new SS/XC bike, and I'll sell off the old. Gulp. Got a nice Niner rigd fork on the way with everything - tall enough that when running it, it'll give the same a2c as the Reba when sagged. Nice.
Nice tax returns rock.
(yes, most of it is earmarked for paying some bills and savings though)

What's going to come of the Pike and Wheels? I'm thinking of maybe building a FRHT type bike (long term).

I have a suspicion the Peyto/26" setup will be staying around, but I've been so damn curious about the 29er thing, gotta' try it out!

You're gonna get flamed by somebody regarding your MTB sizing methods. Many people prefer ETT mesurements over seat tube length.
