Post Your Rigs

Don't worry, I was just bugging you. I actually don't love the Peugeot...I used to hate riding it before but with the changes (i.e., different fork, stem, bar, etc), it is more enjoyable to ride. Or at least it was for the one day I got to ride it.
Now to ride it again, I'll have to get a new crank and BB...doesn't sound like a big deal but it's a mid-80s French bike...I'm hoping the BB threading isn't the odd French style (probably is though and I don't have the tool to take it off and check) because if it is, it may be hard getting a replacement bracket (I don't know for sure, I haven't checked). I did try a different crank arm on the spindle and there was a bit of play between the arm and spindle so I will have to replace the BB if I want to ride it again. Oh well...

Without my bar stem, my back aches while riding that bike. Its like I have to bend down to do anything, and on any rocky downhill parts I would allways feel like I was gunna flip.

'98 Kona Fire Mountain frame. 7005 alu. 16"
Wheels: XT/Mavic 517 Irc Mythos 2.1 tires
Bar/stem/post: Raceface Evolve XC
Cranks/BB/: Raceface Turbine
Shifters/Deraillers: Sram Rocket 8spd/Deore
Cassette: Sram 5.0 8spd 11-28
Brakes: Avid SD7 with Avid Speed Dial levers.
Fork: Marz EXR Pro Coil
The only thing that's screaming for improvement is the fork. The EXR on there was free. So any upgrade is going to have to be a pretty good value. =)

Speaking of grips, I believe I ordered som sram shortys as well, but they didn't come. Luckily I had a new pair of cheese pizza grips sitting in the garage. You can see the blue packaging in the pic.
Edit: And you see the crabgrass, in my lawn? That's LX crabgrass. I think it's just as good as XT crabgrass if you're not counting grams.

Actually, I saw it on your other thread. This link gave me an error, something about the photo not being available.

I'm a textbook brand *****. I got like, a Raceface sticker or something and had to have everything to match. The cranks and tubing are very nice for the price. But mostly the logo is neat. I know, I'm a dork.
And yeah the first time I posted the pic was broke but I swithed it to photobucket and now its groovy.

My bike has never gotten so much love before!
Me and a friend went to a resort to ride and he rides a Giant AC. So everyone we meet is all oohing and awing over his big meathead bike and nobody even noticed my Kona!!
Same thing happenned with another friend except this guy was riding a Raleigh Ram!!! Can you believe that!??! The frickin cops even flagged us down because they wanted to ask about his Ram 2.0 !
Cop: "How much does a bike like that cost a guy?"
My friend: "About 600 dollars."
Cop: "Holy cow, that's alot of money!"
Not bitter. Not bitter.
Again, thanks for the kind words.
