Congrats on the nice bike. Recently picked up on 06 myself.

So they give the frame the tribal treatment this year. Its hard to see in the picture, but did they keep with the black on black tribal on the seatpost and stem?

I don't think that qualifies as "tribal."

That's a few read streaks, tribal is more curves and points.

They evidentally changed it for 07. Here are some pictures I took last night. I had to play with the flash in order to get the tribal to show, and not get drowned out by the flash. Crappy, but the only way I could get the tribal to show

should definitly chain the seat too. it's so new and comfy looking and it's only a quick release away. I cant really tell what fork you have right there.. but I would take a guess that your seat worth more than the fork =P

Haha, the seat post isn't a QR, its an allen bolt, for just that reason, how would I chan it anyway? through the rails. The locks may seem like overkill, but they're really not, i live in a rough neighbourhood.

The fork is an RST Gila, its ****ty I know, but this is my first real bike, and I dont have any delusions about being a "pro cyclist" or anything, I just enjoy it. Hopefully someday I will move up in the world.

How do you like the Tora? I had a Pilot and the air-assist chamber kept leaking air. It's OTW to SRAM right now to be warranty'd. (hopefully they'll upgrade to something better than the Pilot was) The Tora is the fork that replaced the Pilot. Basically the same, only bigger legs.

well it's only my first day having it so i can't really say anything from my own experience but I read from magazine articles that the Tora is completely redesigned, to replace the pilot line, rather than just a relabelled pilot. I haven't heard of any major problems relating to this fork, maybe it's just too early to know... or it's good.

the way you described your riding, if you're doing mostly jumps, or freeride type riding you'll most definately benefit from getting one

Like I ride most freeride and allmountain type stuff and some DJ thrown in allthough I mostly use my BMX for jumps. ANd when I got one I have yet to have my chain drop. and It's awesome

I recomend the E.13 SRS, I have a 32T and 36T chain ring I run depending on what I'm riding

Just an update to a bike previously posted in this thread...my wife's 2005 Dawg Dee-Lux.

Changes include:

Magura Marta SL brakes
American Classic MTB 350 Disc wheelset
Easton EC70 carbon bar
Specialized Roll-X Pro front tire
Kenda Karma rear tire

I parted out my hardtail (see sig) and the parts got split between the Coiler and the Dawg. The Dawg now weighs between 26 and 27 lbs.

Ya know, we were looking for a godfather. I love the idea. I'll discuss it with his dad and we will let you know...
