Here are a few pics of my beater...a 1988 Peugeot Fun Star that was bought new in '88 when I lived in Germany. All I have replaced are the tires, brakes and pedals...everything else is original. It's nice taking a bike out when it's really crappy (or in the winter) and not have to clean it or anything (when it's wet, we have some pretty nasty clay/mud around here). The thing just keeps on taking a beating and coming back for more. The only problem is that it handles like crap!
I'll take some new pictures of the Rockhopper with the recently added X517/XTR wheelset in a bit and post them up later.

Here are some new pics of the Rockhopper Comp. Mods right now include Shimano SPD pedals, Mavic X517 rims (ceramic rear) with XTR hubs (got these at my lbs blowout sale...I haven't put the front wheel on yet though), and an Easton EA70 post...everything else is as it came on the bike....at least until it breaks!

Raiyn, which saying do you post the most....."Use Dentured Alcohol for disc brakes" or "This thread is worthless without pics!"? I wonder sometimes.

is mainly used in this thread and it's usually only once a page. Denatured Alcohol is used in a lot more threads. I think I use "Sparky" and my search graphic more often than either of those.

Here's my new ride - 2005 SC Heckler, trans blue with Fox DHX 5 shock, size XL.
After being married to a hard tail for 4 years, all I can say is (in my best Homer Simpson voice)
mmm, full suspension...
All I need to do is put firm springs in the fork and swap out the rear coil for a beefier one.

I see it finally came in. That trans-blue Heckler is really sweet looking and definitely worth the wait! Enjoy....

Here she is!! My new toy and first mountain bike since I was a kid!! This is stock of course. I will upgrade as I break or wear out stuff!!! First thing I am going to upgrade is the handle bars and Grip now that I have tested my bike out fully!! The 05 rockhopper has simply been awsome so far!! One thing forsure I need to upgrade is my endurance. I was out there huffin and puffin up and down the trails. Damn what a work out!!
Sorry for such a bad picture. I have to work on my photography skills.

it isnt really a bad pic, the reflectors are the only thing messing it up. try it without the flash.

I Just bought a specilaized p. 2 yesterday... Its so different riding it when you used with a normal bike ;p ....i really like it and its pretty easy to do drop/bunnyhop/jump or w/e ....and to those one who say that the stock fork(Dirt Jam 110mm) isnt good....they must be pro who make 10 foot drop...ive no problem in making 4-5 foot drop....didnt found a higher one atm=( ...
i should get a pic of my bike soon
