You wanted to sell it because the seetpost was too long? cut it down with a hacksaw. Fast and easy.

My new 05 prophet. Upgraded the frame only, the components came from my Jekyll.

No Sparky. It's because he has to use a seatpost thahts really long so the bike will fit him.

Holy Hannah,

I'm sitting flipping through the Nicolai website. These are beautiful bikes...I wish I wasn't a bloody student and could grab one of these. The time will come...the time will come.

Konarider: Your list did not include Santa Cruz...any reason?

Jekyllrider: What Prophet is that? I was out riding a Prophet 600 back when there was still snow on the ground, and I was quite impressed with the ride (despite it's shortness). The Lefty still blows my mind at times.

I built it from a frame. I am pretty sure the frames are all the same with the Prophet, although the color is only available as the 2000 or 4000 model. The rear shock is a Manitou Swinger 3 Way air which is offered on the 1000 model and up and so far I am quite impressed. Even though it has only 1 inch more travel than my Jekyll had, it feels like twice as much and is much more plush.

Since I have started doing some group rides I decided I needed a better MTB. Hence I bought a better frame from the LBS and a Rock Shox Pilot fork and transferred the components from my old MTB today. This is the result:

The chain is too short and I need to get a longer one but the results are looking quite good.

Bikes: Marin booooy!

That BMW is sweet! Never seen a chain setup like that before.
Is it supposed to keep the chain at the same length as the suspension is compressing?
Very cool.

Well here it is, my crappy Trek 800 Sport, actaully its not really a crappy bike, it's just not as nice as everyone elses here.

(Don't blame the crappy picture on my $900 Canon 35mm SLR, blame it on the crappy $99 Toshiba scanner)
