Got a new bike! It's an iron horse maverick. It's not that great of a bike, but i'm new to the sport, so it will have to do. It was either this one for $359CDN or the trek 3900 (with basically the same components) for $100CDN more.

Bikes: 1991 Trek 930, 2005 Bianchi Eros, 2006 Nashbar "X," IRO Rob Roy

o.k., here's mine:

1990 Trek 930 Singletrack
still 7-speed SunTour X-1 drivetrain - only replaced one gear on the rear freewheel over the life of the bike. both larger chainrings have been replaced multiple times, though.
rear brakes are still original (except for pads, of course).
fork is kinda cheap - RST Omega T4. 1" forks are hard to find, and i kinda wished i'd ponied up the extra dough for a Marzocchi, but i hadn't been planning on replacing my fork last year at all.
front brake is a Hayes HFX9 XC.
couldn't tell you what the seatpost is - only one i've had for more than a year without breaking, and it's been on the bike for about eight years.
Selle Italia Flite Gel saddle - replaced my (very old) Selle Italia Turbo Gel last year. still getting used to the cut-away shape.
handlebars are Scott AT-4. the bridge isn't available anymore, but a Profile bridge can be modified to fit, and that's what i'm using now.
pedals are Shimano PD-M525 - almost as old as the bike. i rode with clips and straps until 92, then bought these. heavy? hell yes. but durable!

i've rode this bike off and on for almost fifteen years, in four countries, six states and two hemispheres. it's been everything from a all-road tourer to an XC fun machine.

i will never get rid of this bike.

You won't be dissapointed bcc423. I just made the switch to SRAM last week, well SRAM X.9 shifters and SRAM X.0 rear derailleur. I stuck with the XT front derailleur, the SRAM front derailleur just weighed a little too much for my taste. So far I am very impressed with how nice the SRAM works and how easy it was to setup.

ONLY things STOCK on my '04 4300:
frame
Handlebars (bontrager crowbar)
seat post (POS bontrager)
deraileurs (POS shimano)

Upgrades:
RF Evolve DH 175mm
new to you shimano POS shifters
Marz. MX PRO ETA
Sun rhyno lyt XL laced to onyx hubs
Michy XLS 2.0
Oury lock-ons
Spec. Body groove glove thing seat (special grove in seat for that vein I still need )
sram pc48 chain
sram 8spd cassette
Hayes MX2 discs

All in all I spent WAY MORE than I should have on this bike, AND it STILL isnt up to my standards (6'5" 245lbs) I just bent the steerer, so Im goin nuts, but when the transition Dirtbag gets to me, Im gonnna jsut slap some slicks on the trek and use it as a commy......sigh......I wish I still had all that money I threw at the piece.......

Cant find any pics of the trek, but here is the soon-to-be replacement:
