Hey! I got one of those! Here's a tip: Buy new cranks. The Truvative X-flows they put on the HR are junk. Mine broke after 3 months of moderate riding. I replaced them with some Shimano Alivio cranks just to get back riding, but plan on throwing on some XT cranks if I can slip the $119 by the wife.

Great bike though. I love mine.

(this pic was taken the day the cranks broke, in fact.)

05 Trek 4300. I'm new to this and after a little research i thought this would be a good starter bike for me. Eventually i'll get a frame and build a better, lighter bike and hopefully i'lll be able to ride it to it's potential by the time i'm finished. Besides, building a $1,000+ bike would be alot easier on me a few hundred dollars at a time than in one lump sum. I'll also learn more about working on bikes doing it myself.

hahaha...we have the dragon's tail here which has like 6 gazillion turns and those hayabusas get owned time and time again by gixxer 1000s and various other bike...they just don't seem to be very nimble.

i'm more into dragracing it. most of the time it's lowered but i raise it up to stock and hit some curves once in a while. they are'nt very nimble like you said compared to a gixxer 1000 but not bad for the size bike it is. some guys even put gixxer 1000 swingarms on them to shorten the wheelbase and lighten it up for road racing. and i've been down that way on the dragon. been there...done that...bought the t-shirt. a buddy of mine about hit a bear on his new R1 when we were there
