Well I am posting this every where so...SS MTB build is done and ready to ride. Now to get out and ride.

edit: On secound tought, everyone has a black/silver bike (including me). This is way more original.

That's pretty close. My 1988 model had no sloping top-tube and of course sported thumbshifters. I do actually miss that bike.

Yea and get some purple ano Ringle Buba hubs form the early 90s. If all goes well I will either powdercoat it or buy a new frame. Looking at the frame the other poster just put up about the Nashbar frame I am sure that is what this is now.

because im building a bike up and in the mean time i will have the dh's on this one until they are ready for the new steed. and the vega isnt really a bad bike, took it off a 6 footer and didnt bottom the suspention. it needs a new fork to be serious though.

I had this bike as a commuter for a long time. I loved the gearing on the crank. I turned it into a SS and sold it on Ebay. Sold it for 3 times what I paid. Wish I had kept it.

2001 Trek Fuel 100. Shown with old Manitou SX Ti. Now it has a new Fox FX 80 shock, Ritchey WCS disc front wheel and an Avid mechanical front disc brake which is on order. I'll post a new pic when new brake is installed.

Got some OLD bikes popping up all of a sudden. This some retro trend I missed?

yea man, old is cool now. I'll trade my rigid cromo schwinn for your specialized...you can be cool just like the other kids. Its a good deal, if you think about it...
