Hey Gripper is that Klein with the in-tube cable routing? I wonder how they route those cables ...

I assume that there is a plastic or a metal tube on the inside which guides the cable through.

Yes, there were plastic tubes to begin with at the LBS. Who knows how the plastic tubes were put in at the factory though...great mystery of our time...

I think Klein has the wildest designs ... I saw a weirdo looking one today on the train ... it had a PHAT rigid fork--yes, FAT FORK, and a handlebar that was one piece with the threaded stem. Damn thing was neon green too ... fades into white, and into pinkish in the back. It also had the in-tube cable routing, which is very unique .... seems Klein is the only maker that does that.

I see internally routed cables on a few bikes...

My MTB has an internally routed rear der. cable.

... and the rear brake cable on my roadbike is also internally routed.

Those are Atom Lab Trail Pimps, I doubt there would be ANY problems with warping that rim, it's HUGE!

Thanks. I've been a pretty big fan of Easton over the years. Both my road and mountain bikes have lots of this-and-that made by Easton. I do have to say that the new clamp design on the Easton seatposts are far superior to the one on the CT2s that I have. The clamps I have hold fine but are a PITA to adjust. Luckily I don't end up doing a lot of adjustments.

I recommend you also replace the forks. Looks as though the bike was smashed into something and the fork blades are bent back a little. You can sight down the headtube down the fork blades. It's unusal for the fork blades to be angled back in lieu of being in line with the head tube!

First post / my rig

Well I thought my first post would contain my rig. I just beefed up the front end with a Z1 FR QR20, Mavic D3.1, Michelin UST and 8" rotor. It's now my trail/downhill bike. A tacoed rim from a trip over the handlebars last week gave me a good reason for the upgrade
