Nice ride gaspain. I got you little bro the Atomik and love it so far. Im gonna put a dc fork on pretty soon so which will make it that much better.

I was lookin at the color of your bike. I love my army green but thats a sweet color too. Do you know if thats the same paint job for the silver atomik? I was looking on the website and the silver atomic is very bright and shiny which I didnt like, but yours looks very nice.

BTW loose the reflectors

The '03 Atomic is a bright silver, but they change the colors every year, mine is a 03 Drop and is that gray/ODgreen which looks better when the flash is not present, actually the https://norco.com 's website has very good pics of the colors...btw their bikes dont have 'flectors on em, so that makes mine unique

the Atomic is a sweet bike, what year is yours? I thought the Atomic has only been out in 03silver and 02 black?

Sweet. Where do you ride? Ever come to over to my area. I live in Everett area and ride tiger, st edwards park, and some of the stuff going up snoqualmie pass. Maybe we can ride sometime.

BTW my atomik is army green and 03. I love the color but it would be better if its was powder coated, or not as shiny kinda like yours. The color is still one of my favorite things about the bike.

Here's my weathered old XC bike, built from a '98 Gary Fisher
Paragon frame. Not the latest & greatest, but it's still a good XC
bike. This is my commuting bike at the moment, too.

Next goodies for this bike: probably a new chain, cassette and
large chainring, and maybe some new tires, since all of those
items are getting worn.

Wow... that's one long stem. What length is that? I thought the 120mm on my bike was long.

That's a 150mm stem. I have longer-than-average arms for my
height, so the long stem combined with the long top tube of this
Genesis-type frame gives me room to get my arms stretched
forward, instead of them pointing straight down the fork blades.
I would rather have had the next-bigger frame too, but the frame was a
holiday bonus gift (three bike shops ago), so I'm not griping
