Nah, where did you get THAT idea? The only bikes that I see get slammed are those that are dangerous and fall under the category as a "toy" by the retailers that sell them.
You do have a pretty nice bike there. I think it is prettier than my evaporated milk colored bike.

Yes I was. That bike is ugly. I love my Caldera but it sure needs to be another color. Wish it was metallic orange. Or metallic dark pink. Or metallic lavender.

yeah, metalic colors are pretty interesting. I like orange and yellow a lot.
But, I think I have a certain appreciation for subdued colors that Kona used to use for their XC hardtails, post 2006. I have a 2005 cinder cone, and really like the bike and the color. it does not make me look like, I am screaming for attention. Guess, I am too old.
whats your take on Konas new XC hardtail line (sorry they dont call it XC anymore, they are calling it backcountry HT)? about the frame compared to 2005 frames? any thoughts experience.
