raiyn is wearing an orange jumpsuit and picking up litter beside a freeway in south Florida somewhere (I think he killed a guy who insisted on using rubbing alcohol on his brake discs, instead of DENATURED alcohol like HE TOLD HIM); gastro bought a big KTM and took a year off to train for the Mexican 1000; and maelstrom got married and then got talked into joining the Lithuanian Bobsled Team for the 2010 Winter Olympics, since they were going to be just down the road from him anyway. I've bribed him into brief cameo appearances with the promise of free beers any time I get up there

In the ebb and flow of life, maybe mountain biker types are focused elsewhere. Its winter and some have had to hang up the helmet waiting for better weather.
I also think that MTBers tend to be more "lone wolf" kinda people. If we need something, we show up. If all is good, we look around elsewhere. We don't need to compare ourselves to pCad, DrPete or UMD. Our people are good.
