If you ride a bike, you're a cyclist. No minimum shapliness required.

lol but i meant like some of you guys and girls in here who are really devoted to it.. i'm trying to get back into it little by little but finding the time is hard. juggling work, my newborn baby and running a car club makes it difficult to ride but i will make time soon enough

Hey everyone, I just started my own NJ specific bike forum. There is not much there now but its up and running. I ride 90% on the road and the rest of my time I have some fun in the woods. Like I said the board is pretty thin right now but It will hopefully become a place for NJ riders to meet talk and ride. Check it out.

I'm in cumberland county, just bought a mountain bike for cardio/weight loss. So far I love it! I live in the country so I ride on the country rodes, and I also go to Parvins state park and do the trails there.

Welcome to the board! I do a lot of my weekday rides there as well. Watch out for the clouds of bugs that like to be in the park.

Donaldson Park in Highland Park is good for riding, hillier but smaller. And the roads in Northern Edison are good to ride on, mostly.

The leg of the trail heading north from Trenton is nowhere near that rough.

I did D&R couple months ago from Johnson Park in New Bruinswick to Princeton where the Lake is forgot the name and back to Johnson Park. I think that trails goes all the way to Trenton.

It does go all the way to Trenton, than turns north and does an equal distance along the Delaware river. 70 miles all told. Interested in doing the whole thing some time?

The section from Trenton up through Hunterdon Cty is quite scenic, although a bit buggy in the summer. I think you will like that ride. Hey Neil, let me know if you ever want to do this ride. I am not far from there.

Cheers,

Brian

Bikes: Raleigh Militus, Custom Steel road bike manufactured by Steve Willis of The Bike Stand, Raleigh Rush Hour. Windcheetah recumbent trike, Actionbent SWB recumbent

D & R canal path between New Brunswick and BoundBrook took a big hit with the Spring flood. Parts of the surface real rough and still being repaired. If you keep heading towards Princeton, jump off the tow path at Amwell road, cross the canal to canal road and continue on. Canal Road is a great bike route. For variation, once in Rock Hill, turn right and climb up the hill and come back to Amwell on River Road. Nice rolling hills.

Does anyone wanna go for a casual paced ride tommorow morning 8/11 in Morristown around Giralda Farms? There are 2 routes around. A short one and a long one. I dont have a preference on which route taken but I would love to get out and do a ride with a few other people. Let me know if your interested and what time would be feasable.

Another new to road cycling from South Jersey - right around where Action Wheel is in Wenonah, NJ. I'd just bought a Fuji road bike and loving every minute of it! I would love to join one of the local club, but I'm just trying to buildup my stamina/endurance so I don't embarrass myself. Hope to see some of you when I finally get better.

Cheers
