Lakewood, NJ
Hi fellow NJ bikers:
I am from Lakewood and love biking thru this area from the shore to the Delaware River and back ... happy to have you join me in rides from this area ... rides at 14 to 17 mph and are "NO DROP" type of rides. Feel free to contact me and let me know of your interests.

Bikes: "Hildy", a Novara Randonee touring bike; a 16-speed Bike Friday Tikit; and a Specialized Stumpjumper frame-based built-up MTB, now serving as the kid-carrier, grocery-getter.
Highland Park Cycelry seems to be pretty competent, but very expensive. Kim's is a good, friendly store, but I've had problems with their work. Bike n Gear seems to have the best price on accesories (gloves, helmets, shorts), but I've never used them for work.

Ad Jay's Cycles in Princeton to the list. I got my first road bike from them last winter, and they did some work on my old mountain bike.
I did a lot of riding in the Somerset area last year, and the Princeton Century, and Jersey Devil half century. I'm all the way up in Budd Lake now though, and haven't figured out where to ride around here yet. Also, my 2 riding partners were my room mate who now lives down in Bridgewater, and my ex.
I had some IT band problems at the end of the summer, and now it's just cold, so I've been kind of a lazy slob for a while now, but just got some rollers for winter training.

Anybody still riding in Jersey these days? I haven't been outside since October. Only spinning for me. But I'm seriously considering going out this week, probably to Sandy Hook. Anybody else?

I went out at around 2:45. It was too cold.
Weather Channel's website said 63, but now 57 for tomorrow. I hope it's warm enough for shorts. I'm getting tired of full-length tights.

I did ride 40+ miles last weekend, part road, part muddy rail trail. It was great! I don't mind cold weather as long as it's above freezing.

I hadn't thought of this till just now - I made a frappr map so we can visually add our locations to the map!

On the name thing don't forget to include your forum name, and I made 3 pins - "MTB," "Road," and "Road & MTB."

Finally made it, my first ride in 3 months, it was sooo awesome!!! Went to Sandy Hook, did a short loop (too cold and windy), and back to Middletown. Too bad the weather won't last.

Just recently moved to North Bergen in Hudson County. I ride in the early morning hours (5-5:30am) along River Road which I must say is the worst for flats.
