umd uses a Lezyne that he really likes. It mounts behind his water bottle cage. He doesn't use CO2 anymore & saves money.
Once my CO2 pump failed. The rubber ring inside popped out! So I couldn't get a seal and pump up my tyre*. I still use CO2 but will probably get a Lezyne in the future.

take garlic. lots of it. boil up lots of garlic crushed. drink the water. throw a couple of slices of ginger in after boiling and let it steep. that shouldn't be too over powering.

Every time I put my camera back in it's bag I see deer. I have almost run into them at night. No photos in about 16 years of trying.

We can't get away from them around here, they are every where.

My ride didn't turn out to be as triumphant as I had planned.
Apparently an unknown event had just ended as there were hundreds of cars streaming out of the arena. I made an executive decision to change the route on the fly to a different road I usually don't ride. So I got jilted out of my groove by having to ride on some sidewalks and dodge stairs and the like.
In this discombobulated state, I reached this intersection where a police guy was operating the stop light (arena traffic was exiting out on the opposite side of the main road). I sat there for a few seconds, wondering if I should cross the smaller side street or wait for him to change the light. I decided to go. But then, I had trouble clipping in and a car approached and honked at me. I gave up on the pedal and pushed across the rest of the road by foot, arriving right in front of where the police guy was standing.
Again, I waited a few seconds, wondering if I should start up the main road or wait. Again, I decided to go. Only this time I had the added difficulty of having to clip in going uphill. I tried to start out not once, but twice(!) and failed both times. I didn't look at him, but I can just imagine the police guy was either (1) laughing at me, or (2) thinking "what kind of idiot would try riding a bike on this road when he can't even start up the hill."
What a facepalmy episode it was.

You want more? We have way too many up here. In fact last week my wife drove through a small herd on her way home. Tapped two on the backside with the front of her car fortunately leaving no damage, but a third tried to jump over the car, hit the drivers side near the top of the windshield and left a good size dent on the drivers side rear door.

I was riding near a prison, so when I heard something running through the bushes, deer were quite a relief.

Ok, congratulations on seeing a live deer vs a prisoner! I saw one on a ride back in the summer. The MUP goes by a golf course and he/she was crossing from the woods to the golf course. I have also seen wild turkey on that trail.

I had never seen any dear or wild animals either, being the city boy that I am. So once I started riding, the first time I saw them out and about, I was pretty amazed. I also couldn't believe how loud they were when they ran. I am still intrigued when I see animals while out for a ride. I can certainly appreciate how you felt when you saw them, ijen.

There's a giant turkey on my MUP. He looks mean.

I see mostly raccoons and opossum, nutrea down by the lakes and slough. An occasional deer and rarely elk. My favorite recent wildlife was a porcupine! I'd never seen one of those in the wild.

They are all over the place up here. If I don't see a deer on a ride, it is a rarity. My friend hit one a few years back, broke his fork, tacoed his front wheel, and nearly killed himself.

I'm not sure if I accidentally locked the thread or not, it is possible. They put a close thread button where it can be hit by mistake when they did the last update. If it was me then I apologize.
