If they can't mount a tire w/o making a mess I wouldn't be paying them do the job. Any mechanic that has pride in their work wouldn't let a wheel out w/ glue all over the tire.

I'd probably go with Novatec, but honestly I'm done with very low budget hubs. DT Swiss 350 hubs or Hope are probably the way I'd go. They cost a little more, but the durability is far superior.
