I left my backpack on the side of the road after checking out a pile of free stuff(it's not stolen, someone just thought it was free). It was on SE 51st, in between Woodward(bike route) and Tibbetts. It had a bunch of bike parts in it, including a new Formula silver track hub. If anyone hears about someone finding this, please let me/them know.
Other stuff in the bag included brown + pink Dia Compe hoods, a tube of Phil grease, a new chain, a few brake cables and some housing. It was also full of groceries, so if you or someone you know gets ahold of it please refrigerate my blue cheese and daikon radishes.
edit = recovered

This thread has gone far too long with out a post.
I interview next week with a company in downtown so if all goes well I'll be rolling in PDX full time (sorta, the job requires lots of travel) next month. Which could not come soon enough... Salem has no redeeming qualities and makes me yearn for Corvallis... if that was at all possible. Seriously, how did Salem become so anti-bike especially when surrounded by Portland, Corvallis, and Eugene... all bike friendly cities.

I'm going to Dante's for some rock and ****ing roll tonight, the black lips and the hunches = a good time. It's only 5 bucks. I think doors are in 40 minutes.... not like that means anything though.

I finished moving to Portland on Friday.
My bmx is fully dialed but my current track bike is in pieces in the closet.
I need to get some things before it will be back together. Most likely I will have the fixed together by the end of next weekend but for sure within two weeks.
I sold my other fixed to a buddy ( been my daily ride for the past year) and am using the cash to finish the other.

Anyone ever had a fixie stolen here?
One thing I notice looking on the bikeportland stolen bike listings is that the overwhelmingly grand majority of bikes on there were stolen unlocked or cable locked...
