does it have an adress? look up segovia meats on in kensington; a few steps behind there in the alley.

Alright so WTF could cause this:

Steering binds in about 90 degrees of fork traversal. Already as loose as it can be without severe play. Headset is not worn out. Cups are all seated perfect.

Address is

43.654 -79.402 Eleveation 322ft

Could probably target some JDAMS on that information with gps accuracy nowadays

PARTS UNKNOWN 216 Augusta
Jer's directions are about as good as anything. It's right across from Jumbo Empanadas. Right now there's a white fence across the alleyway, but if you see bikes next to the little garage-like building, George is there. Just open the fence and go in.

Wonder how something like that ends up not getting claimed by its owner!

shapelike 05-11-07 06:28 AM

Okay, body builder doing the robot actually rules.

Do bike shops in GTA recycle tires/tubes ?

We've got a huge pile of rubber sitting around, not looking pretty.
It would be good to see it gone.

And, to keep on topic, the rubber came off bikes. Maybe even fixed bikes :)

shapelike 05-11-07 07:06 AM

Depends on the removal service. Some will split their trash into garbage/recycling and have different pick-ups.

Shiznaz 05-11-07 07:20 AM

I accidentally underslept today, hopped in the shower, shaved, and ran out the door and arrived at work an hour early. D'oh! I misread my alarm clock!

operator 05-11-07 07:34 AM

Time to punch in that overtime. Who's up for lunch !!!!!11lone

somnambulant 05-11-07 07:40 AM

I somehow don't think shizzy works in a place that does overtime (especially not for contract lackeys).. :) Personally if I showed up an hour early, I'd also be leaving an hour early. Yay unionized university job with a cool boss!

When are you finishing up, Shiznaz?

No lunchtime gatherings for me today... I always have lunch with my coworkers on Fridays.

Question for the fitness/nutrition geeks:

Since I have nothing better to do, I calculated the nutritional value of the pizza I made for dinner last night. Looks pretty good to me, but what do I know:

Per serving (2 slices)

Calories: 636
Fat: 31.4g (25%)
Protein: 33.8g (27%)
Carb: 59.75g (48%)

Sodium: 1972.16mg (86% DV) (!)
A 19% DV
C 23% DV
CALCIUM 34% DV
IRON 30%DV

Is that a healthy meal from a cyclists point of view?

operator 05-11-07 07:44 AM

Is there a safety meeting tonight?

Rubber, at least tires, are recyclable but require drop off. I'm not sure if commercial pickups separate them. You may be able to drop them off at any auto tire shop too.

Walmart has a 'carbon' bike now:

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=5585799

It's an aluminium bike with carbon on it. But, you can still see the welds, so who knows what's going on.

I was at Cycle Therapy on Tuesday and while Mike was helping me get properly fit on my bike, a dude came in talking about how his back wheel on new CCM is going wonky.

Mike's basic comment (though very nicely said) was: "yeah.... that happens on those bikes..."

That said, it can be difficult to convince someone that spending a few hundred dollars more is worth it in the long run, because it saves money in the long term.

I_bRAD 05-11-07 07:56 AM

It's also hard to pick a nice used one off craigslist etc if you're new and don't know what you're looking for.

The way it was explained in one staff meeting is that we all work 'Full time plus'. I know of one girl in my department that used to be able to log overtime, but she was doing a lot of offsite work and had a strange employment status. She was promoted without a pay increase to full time status and now she can't get overtime. I'll be out the door at 5pm today.

I_bRAD 05-11-07 08:05 AM

You'd think that when you work for a place that essentially has the ability to print its own money that they wouldn't be so stingy with the overtime!

iherald 05-11-07 08:07 AM

Shiznaz, where do you work?

" The original name in road bikes, the Schwinn Varsity CF is back on the road, bike path or sidewalk. Schwinn's sleek, classic, handcrafted carbon fiber wrapped lightweight aluminum road frame is built up with STI 7-speed shifters and a 14-speed Shimano Sora drivetrain for a ride that's equally responsive on hills and flats. Alloy pedals with toe clips and straps round out the package. "

haha. I can't wait to see someone riding one of these down the sidewalk. Gotta love that classic carbon fiber wrapped AL. It brings back memories of Octave Lapize. I'm glad they didn't say it was good riding, just that its equally responsive on hills and flats. Good thing those alloy pedals are there to round of the package! The angle on those drops is.... interesting.
