Hey you guys!

I'm back. 4 days in Algonquin and it was pretty much a perfect trip :D

I'm in San Fransisco this week and I am blown away by the number of sweeeeet track bikes I have seen. Lots of IROs and Bianchi Pista Concepts, a few Bianchi Pistas, tons of conversions and the nicest of them all, a red Masi with that Suntour gold group, what a crazy crazy sick bike. I wanted to pick it up to see how light it was but I am sure that the owner was perched somewhere nearby, ready to drop down on the first person to mess with his bike. I couldn't believe it was locked up, to be honest, I would be way too nervous if that thing were out of eye-sight.

The scene here seems great, mostly because the motorists are very courteous and the roads are in great shape, so cycling seems very safe. There are some very very steep hills, of course, but that doesn't stop anyone from cycling, they just find alternate routes around the hills. The drivers are very good around the cyclists as well as around pedestrians, even stopping and waving me across the street when I was jaywalking. And yeah, jaywalking is frowned upon here, I found out quickly, because people actually obey the rules of the road; shocking, I know!

I think I will have to move here, the city is that awesome.

It's alright, but I don't watch it regularly. Why, did I make a reference to it without knowing?

Did anyone hear from the guy on craigslist with the massive lot? I didn't hear back from him.

I don't want this to be an Igor fest, but I once saw him selling a little puppy with a electric cord for a leash. I think he was using it to pick up the hunnies walking by.

I had a customer come in the shop and ask me if he should have received more than one key for his new Kryptonite lock. Oddly he purchased it from Igor. Buying a bike lock from Igor is like asking the local crackhead to run over to the hardware store and make some copies of my keys.

The crooked bike shop owner with the (currently closed, I think) shop on Queen St, across from Trinity-Bellwoods Park. Toronto's one-stop shop for stolen bike goods.

Before I "knew" about Igor I went in there to look through some frames. He was like "What do you want the bike to be?" So I described the build, he cut me off and said "No, no! Not what the bike will be like, what will it represent?" Thanks for being my crackhead spirit guide, Igor. Thaaanks.
