Dunno if this was mentioned, but do ya'll got a destination picked out for the ride? A favorite spot of Shiz' (bar/cafe/park, etc.)? Will there be a moment of silence?

I'm so glad to hear that all of you guys made an appearance at Charlie's funeral. I really wish I could have made it. Great work on the interview, the ride, the cards etc. Nice work guys. I've got a lump in my throat but this does make it feel a little bit better and just a tiny bit less senseless. Thanks.

Rennick: I didn't have an accident.. a cab driver drove off with my bag in the trunk which contained my road shoes, my helmet, some jerseys and cycling caps and some other stuff. It appears that he did it on purpose and when I called the cab company he denied that he had even picked me up. I filed a police report at which point he admitted picking me up but claimed to not know the whereabouts of my bag. The Dublin police are supposedly investigating but I'm not holding much hope other than maybe some money from insurance. I missed my flight that morning as a result of the police report and whatnot. It was a ****ty experience. And it happened the day after I heard the news from home.

Man, that sucks Dan! I'm sure Charlie would have something witty to say about cabbies if he were here. This is a really bad screencap of one of the critical masses we were at before jeisun left as well:

August 05 or 6 cm.

Small request: Can anyone record the 10:06 am CBC broadcast tomorrow in mp3 format?

I left some at a couple places in Kensington on my way back from the interview. Did you by any chance leave any in any bike shops on Harbord/Bloor? I was going to do the Harbord shops on the way home, and potentially Curbside as well.
I can try to hit them up on my way out this morning (Harbord shops). I've got a bunch of flyers with me.

Quick note: It's my birthday this weekend (... yaay?) so I'm probably going to head out on Friday for a few drinks. If anyone wants, feel free to join in. Hopefully this ride is a bit more cathartic than the funeral (I find those are normally more for the immediate family than the person who died ... the tone of it didn't help me much and I feel like I need *something* to let me say goodbye properly and start to move on with life).

The CBC radio 1 broadcast is on now 99.1 FM.

Edit: Processing, the segment was about 23 minutes long. Is there anyone with webspace I can use?

I'll be there too, and would like a spoke card.. also, I'm trying to record the broadcast using some weird Japanese software that I've never used before. Hopefully, if it all records properly, I'll convert it to something more reasonable like mp3.

Great job to Wes + Tino on the interview.

EDIT: Wes -- do you have the bandwidth to host the mp3 of the interview?

Great piece on the radio, guys - I couldn't record it - I really liked how Kevin could relate that bit more about the idiosyncracies/aspects/dangers of cycling.

Good job, thank you.

Oh, I'll be there tomorrow - I'd love a spoke card, too.

Well done Wes!

I've never been so proud to be part of an intertube forum. And that's saying something as I'm a super nerd!
