Many people believe that a car is rightfully an extension of their genitalia. You gotta admit you'd be a bit perturbed if any folk here rode up and casually began touching your penis, if they slapped it you'd be real upset. Moral of the story, don't slap a stranger in the dick.

If you know what software they're using to block, you can find out how it works on the web at home, and then work around it.
Depends how on the ball your IT guys are. You could also find out the IP address of the bikeforums server and access it directly to skirt the filters.
vtunnel is a bit awkward if you want to post (I don't like signing in on proxy servers) but you can view no problems.

there are comments on cbc now regarding our interview.. totally ********.
2 calls suggesting driving against traffic. "stay off the road" on another. response to tino saying he doesn't stop at all stop signs (somewhat understandable). a pro bike lane call. veteran tourer agreeing with tino's comment about making eye contact with motorists and being pro cycling in general.

This video summed internet commenting up very nicely: https://www.collegehumor.com/video:1771556

1. I thought the same thing when it stopped working for me but I can gain access to bikeforums through IE at work, just not using Firefox. At home, I can use either browser and it works just fine... I've never been able to explain it and I didn't bother asking my IT guy... I just live with opening a different browser when I want to check out BF.
2. I wish I was there... ****ing idiots...

Bikes: Menonite black urbanite, probably enough spare parts to make anther one.
i like the marinonis but i'm not keen on the choice of black cranks/stem/seatpost. if they really wanted to pimp iit out they should have white ano stuff on there. it's the one that's white, white with black stripes, the kind i like to wear when i rock the mike...
speaking of which, if you're in the friendly parkdale neighbourhood, the Inabstracto gallery on queen (at gladstone) has a very cool colnago track pursuit bike in the window. Pink and teal everything, inlcuding the vintage suede rolls perched on there (although there is a 24" front wheel on there with a ton of room in the fork which leads me to believe it's just there for style. plus they have a bunch of other fixie stuff (from germany?) that worth a look-see. that's all; i got off work early today so i thought i'd take a ride...

Hah! I was thinking the same thing when I came in. Amber and I talk all the time about how back in the "olden days" you used to know anyone with a ton of tattoos. But now that's so common that sense of the small community has drifted off and we were both saying how we miss it. Now when we're walking anywhere, we run into bike friends - even Amber who doesn't ride outside of commuting! Bike friends are the new tattoo friends!

my small worlds are colliding...

i love the fact that i can ride through a neighbourhood and see if any friends are in each cafe / pub whatever by looking to see if their bike is outside. in fact that's how i spotted senior benway last friday at the house on parliament...and running into people randomly on the street and just having a laugh.

he waits til we're just passing his car, and he screams at me, "learn how to bike you ****ing *****."
we carry on our merry way, and not 100m later, he buzzes us even closer this time, laying on his horn. scared the ****ing **** out of me, and for what? i wasn't even in the middle of the lane. the ways some people spend their beautiful sunday afternoons...

Thanks to nerdsgirth
Even though that should be super offensive to me I kind of don't even care anymore. There will always be racists out there. This world would be a better place if everyone just smoked some green once in a while and chilled the **** out.

Truly this is fine comedic prose in the truest sense of the word.
You should have replied "way to put the 'cock' in caucasian". Kidding.
On a serious note though that really winds me up. There is no excuse whatsoever for that kind of nonsense. Rob I think you are right on that it's not worth worrying about too much though because what can you do. That doesn't change the fact that there is no excuse for that carp (i meant to write 'crap' but for some reason 'carp' seems appropo) though.

Princeton Tec had a booth at the last race and apparently were selling them for a good price.. I think the other big lighting systems makers were there too.. like perhaps Niterider?
