Ah. I remember the days of corporate bull****. Anyhow... https://www.vtunnel.com/ is usually a good bet as a lot of filters often don't bother with encrypted sites.
If you know what software they're using to block, you can find out how it works on the web at home, and then work around it.
Depends how on the ball your IT guys are. You could also find out the IP address of the bikeforums server and access it directly to skirt the filters.

vtunnel is a bit awkward if you want to post (I don't like signing in on proxy servers) but you can view no problems.

Don't even bother wasting your time with those ******s. Educating the morons of this world is a futile task.

If your work browser allows loading java applets just run a vnc on your home computer, vnc into it and post from there.

speaking of which, if you're in the friendly parkdale neighbourhood, the Inabstracto gallery on queen (at gladstone) has a very cool colnago track pursuit bike in the window. Pink and teal everything, inlcuding the vintage suede rolls perched on there (although there is a 24" front wheel on there with a ton of room in the fork which leads me to believe it's just there for style. plus they have a bunch of other fixie stuff (from germany?) that worth a look-see. that's all; i got off work early today so i thought i'd take a ride...

i finally figured it out! i know your face from checking out your florida pics when amber mentioned the swanky trip (amongst other stories).

i love the fact that i can ride through a neighbourhood and see if any friends are in each cafe / pub whatever by looking to see if their bike is outside. in fact that's how i spotted senior benway last friday at the house on parliament...and running into people randomly on the street and just having a laugh.

That is good times. Should have gone for a ride tonight myself! I'm tempted to go out now and blind drivers with my new light.

I hear you completely - they actually debated having all the components done in white after the fact but this (except for the wheels) is pretty much the bike as Marinoni gave it to them... Beggars can't be chosers!

I'm near Parkdale - I'll definitely check that gallery out!

Even though that should be super offensive to me I kind of don't even care anymore. There will always be racists out there. This world would be a better place if everyone just smoked some green once in a while and chilled the **** out.

The Cronos are apparently made to order right there in Terrebone, Quebec - the carbon Marinoni's are apparently imported from China.

I'll be by to pick up my cranks tomorrow.

You should have replied "way to put the 'cock' in caucasian". Kidding.

On a serious note though that really winds me up. There is no excuse whatsoever for that kind of nonsense. Rob I think you are right on that it's not worth worrying about too much though because what can you do. That doesn't change the fact that there is no excuse for that carp (i meant to write 'crap' but for some reason 'carp' seems appropo) though.

Princeton Tec had a booth at the last race and apparently were selling them for a good price.. I think the other big lighting systems makers were there too.. like perhaps Niterider?
