Lovely glow ring on that..
Lovely looking (l)ass, too
I seem to get all kinds of those run-ins almost every day. Be it someone riding the wrong way on my street (without lights usually, yay) or some stupidity on Queen West... I swear I'm getting more complacent as time goes on.
Feel good thing for me today: Stopped at the top of the lakeshore 'hill' near the Jameson exit area to help someone with their bike. Turns out all he needed was a lesson on how to shift gears (his supercycle MTB still having the manual attached to the handlebars), but still, I know I'd want someone to at least ask if I was stuck on the side of the path with a mechanical looking problem.

... it comes with the territory. I've had a few rather scary hold-downs.. the first time that you lose all light in the middle of an afternoon session is a bit terrifying, but once you get used to the idea that you're not coming up until the water lets you, it's not so bad. (Aside from when you get knocked into things underwater; that's not so fun..)

Keith if I make it back from Mississauga tonight then I'm totally in for movie night. Sorry to be so indefinite about it but what can I do you know? ROCK AND ROLL.
Oh and I ran into Offhoff the other day. He said he is taking a bikeforums sabbatical or words to that effect.

What time is a good time..?
I popped a bottle of Carolans (no beer and brokeass, damnit) in my pannier today - mucho weighto, my back wheel is so out of shape again, bleh

I've got Cadence's Fast Fridays short, a couple recent mtb flicks (eg. Roam), and that cyclocross film "Pure Sweet Hell" (which is awesome).

I wish I could make it tonight - fortunately / unfortunately it looks like I'll be on my bike rather than watching movies about them.

I already have this if you want a copy. 4.4gb rip only.
Story of the day:
I'm coming back just now from the GO station and some ******** ****** on a MTB going the wrong way down the steet has the nerve to play chicken with me AND yell something at me while I swing into traffic to pass him.
I think he said something like "riding that fast is dangerous" with an unfriendly look on his face. Wasn't even worth my energy to stop and argue with this moron. Where do these people come from? Are they just born a moron or are they created? It really defies my understanding.

Ripley: "I say we take off and nuke the sight from orbit, it's the only way to be sure."
Hudson: "****in' A!"
Funny, it sounds like the same guy at the GO station was over here on Marion Street last night, riding the wrong way and refusing to move out of my way. The only difference was that I was driving a Toyota. Who the hell plays chicken with a minivan? He also gave me a dirty look too! Nutty.
