I seem to get all kinds of those run-ins almost every day. Be it someone riding the wrong way on my street (without lights usually, yay) or some stupidity on Queen West... I swear I'm getting more complacent as time goes on.

Feel good thing for me today: Stopped at the top of the lakeshore 'hill' near the Jameson exit area to help someone with their bike. Turns out all he needed was a lesson on how to shift gears (his supercycle MTB still having the manual attached to the handlebars), but still, I know I'd want someone to at least ask if I was stuck on the side of the path with a mechanical looking problem.

i think i'd be more worried about sharks (and drowning)...

i'll keep my feelings about deep frying turkey to myself...

... it comes with the territory. I've had a few rather scary hold-downs.. the first time that you lose all light in the middle of an afternoon session is a bit terrifying, but once you get used to the idea that you're not coming up until the water lets you, it's not so bad. (Aside from when you get knocked into things underwater; that's not so fun..)

if i'm still awake for tonite, that sounds fun...

I popped a bottle of Carolans (no beer and brokeass, damnit) in my pannier today - mucho weighto, my back wheel is so out of shape again, bleh

I've got Cadence's Fast Fridays short, a couple recent mtb flicks (eg. Roam), and that cyclocross film "Pure Sweet Hell" (which is awesome).

Sounds like we should be finished watching all the movies sometime late monday!

I wish I could make it tonight - fortunately / unfortunately it looks like I'll be on my bike rather than watching movies about them.
