Was that you at Broadview/Danforth trackstanding at around 10:45 tonight, pyze? I was the guy on the other side heading west.
I'd love to head for track 1 then 2, but can't see it happening just yet.
Off to watch more Good Eats and warm up, methinks.

In fairness to Cervelo they engineer the hell out of everything they make. The forks are totally fine if the inserts are glued in properly. That is why those forks are cut at the factory. They used to leave it up to the dealers, who were installing them incorrectly, leading to some failures. No failures yet since we started gluing 'em at the factory. I agree that they should put EC 90's on everything because they can just send 'em off and be done with it. The dealer/customer can cut their fork to taste and for what a couple more grams? The technology and engineering that goes into these new uber racing bikes is really cool, but as I have probably said before it kind of just makes me appreciate my nice lugged steel bikes more. All this crap over a few grams here and there just gets lamer and lamer as time goes by. Who cares. ROCK AND ROLL.

Also, I completely agree with you on the gram-shaving obsession. Actually, from what I've read, most pros don't like using ultra-light rides because the handling goes to hell.

As far as "engineering the hell" out of cervelos, I think it's more like the odd good idea combined with a crapload of marketing and styling.

While I was riding to work this morning with a stream of snow/slush coming off my front fender all I could think about was your Yosemite Brad mud-flaps.

Those mud flaps work great! They also weigh more than a Cervelo fork.

Seems I forgot I may be in MTL on the weekend of Feb16 so no StuffonDuff for me OR the other thing I was invited to. Track II...what's the word bird? Gimme a tentative and I'll contact my buddy of the bus to find out about a lift for 10 ppl and their rides.
the grunge on my bike weighs more than a Cervélo fork.

This morning, I'm going through John & Queen, when this guy on a bike, turning north on to John off of Queen, screams, "Yee-haw!" Sometimes, I love this city...BTW, who's going to the ice bike races? I'm thinking of wearing either a) a dress & Doc Martins; b) a wife-beater & some lycra. Possibly a German Kaiser helmet, if I can get away with it.

I think you're about 4 months late for International Talk Like a Pirate Day.

I have my ipod on in the office and I'm not really listening to it too closely. All of a sudden the drum solo part of One by Metallica starts and it surprisingly got me pretty pumped up.

Slightly apprehensive at the weather right now though I've only got to go home so theoretically a short and simple ride in the suspected goop. King was clear this morning, but with all that's come down since I wonder how it'll be on the majors (I'll take Queen home, but same idea/conditions).
Gotta love those stock checkers... doh. Yeah, was a nice night out - wind dropped right down which was awesome.
