"Once you have found her never let her go...", but if it's only for the summer, good excuse for a visit. You both have 'puters and 'net at home? Or are you living in the shop after hours this season?

It wasn't even like ... forgive me, but it wasn't "tittie tops on parade" or anything like that. Remember that scene in High Fidelity when Cusack throws on the Beta Band and then everyone gets a bit love-eyed? It was that sort of vibe. I was picturing hands touching while reaching for the same squash in the produce isle, the check-out line getting a bit cosier than normal, etc. It may have just been several hundred people all in a really good mood because spring is finally here, but something was definitely going on.
Edit: Now my bank, my bank is just entirely staffed by hotties so I'm guessing whoever does the hiring there is a big perv.

riding home down dundas today with the mrs.
chatting about the day having a decent ride.
a lady behind honks, i look over the shoulder and there's an empty middle lane, and nobody behind her so i just keep talking. she procedes to try to pass and give hand mime gestures (points at her eyes and the road) and then stops at the light 100yards ahead. i pull up beside her and say "what were you trying to say?"
"you're lucky i didnt hit you. you cant ride side by side like that."
wtf?

I hate it when people do that.
I'd grumble about a weird run-in with a cabbie the other day but I'd have to explain the whole situation, blah blah... basically he was saying bike lane riders shouldn't pass taxicabs that are stuck in traffic because at any moment the doors could open into the bike lane. I thought cabs were supposed to pull into the bike lane to pick-up/drop-off, and riders have to wait behind or venture into traffic to pass, just like we wait behind buses (or pass). Am I wrong? Obv. if they can't move over due to stopped traffic then there is the risk that passengers open doors into the bike lane. Just like parked cars.
In any case the woman was definitely wrong.

Is there some sort of award we can give out to people who are able to magically create new traffic laws as they see fit?

You shame the sphincter of Oddi (which is a better thing to be named after than the columns of Morgagni)

something in the water supply... it was an attempt to make drivers nice, which failed... but the side affects are nice

anyway, this summer (if im the country, yea chances to make money in Paris) i plan on finding out, and making, stickers that have text on the sticky side, with phrases like "DUMBASS" or "Have a nice day, moron". then on the other side "PLEASE KEY THIS CAR" or "******* DRIVER RIGHT HERE -->"
i just think it would be awesome to stick it on the window of a dangerous driver (like instead of punching it)
but... i dont think it will ever happen, as i am too lazy

Speaking of which, I just pulled the data off my bike computer from yesterday's race. Apparently I hit 58km/h on my first lap on this longish open downhill. Yeehaw! How's that for a steel hardtail?
I also hit 45km/h at the bottom of a really sketchy/twisty singletrack downhill, which I believe this picture sums up:
I was doing my best not to become "uncoupled".. eh, Keith?
Too bad I was entirely uncoupled and didn't get to enjoy the ride more. ugh! Especially since Mansfield isn't open to regular riding anymore.
Ten points to Under the Weather for finishing and delivering my bag early! Anybody with one of these have any tips for perfect fit? It's pretty comfortable so far, but I have yet to ride for an extended period of time with it on.

I finally got around to watching There Will Be Blood. That final shot/line felt very much like a Stanley Kubrick moment.
