wanted to do the race, but had to chill with friends... awe well
anyone got a 26mm(im gonna remeasure this tomorrow) cross lever for an oversized cross lever? changed bars, and the old lever doesnt fit. im up for a trade or money, if not i'll look in stores.
good sand blasting+powder coating people? where should i go? im looking to have my frame sand blasted, then either a clear or black(or white) powder coat (not sure if there is clear one). anyone have some tips for places to go? to stay away from?
super good looking is not main priority, i just want something that will stand up to some use, as its for my beater/city bike

It should be around the end of November. There are also races near Bathurst & Sheppard and Bathurst & St. Clair, and the one at Centennial Park. All of which are easily rideable to. But the one at Riverdale Park will be the biggest/best one as it's the last race of the season (other than the for-fun New Years Eve race in South Humber Park).
(yes, I'm up this early. Catching the first train to Ottawa for the weekend. Train > solo 4-hour drive.)

I'm riding with the main group until I get dropped. Which is usually somewhere north on keele but before it turns east to the midway stop at the deli shop. You should be able to keep up until hopefully the group initially turns keele (at which point it goes from a slow pace to hyper speed).

I am back but my body thinks it's almost dinner time, damned Jet lag.
On my last full day in Paris I scored a navigational sign telling the riders which way to go at the Arc d'Triomphe (sp I know it's wrong) while snapping photos with the family. the kind of thing you just can't buy, was amazed I got it on the plane intact..... score-ific, the kind of thing you can't buy. When I asked the police if I could take it down, I was given a very Shutlz from Hogan's Heroes, 'Je voir rein.'... I see nothing.

The jersey I got in Rome from the manager/sponsor of the local riding club for team price of 30 euros, and the cap was gratis.
Won't see any of these over here. There was no way I was going to buy ANY Tour jerseys, I just couldn't bring myself to wear one.

Welcome back Andrew. Sounds like you had a great time and nice scoop on the gear and the signage! And thank you for not buying tour jerseys....

I doubt you guys will have problems keeping up from the start point. I'll be joining the ride midway at yonge/steeles. Might be better for you guys (flimflam/you) to start at eg & laird. Ride starts at 9am from there.
It gets to where I join up at about 9:30.

how was the alleycat?
oh man i almost ate it today. some lady turned into a parking space, she crossed the bike lane (i was riding in it) and almost side swiped me into a lamp post... so close i skidded both wheels, and drifted parallel too her, clipped her wingmirror with my arm as i managed (some unknown way) to somehow pull out of the tiny gap between her, the curb, the lamp post, and the parked car ahead. closest call yet, i stopped just west of there for dinner, and i was shaking like crazy.... not cool
