I seem to recall you getting a pretty good deal on some rims a couple years ago. thanks to math and the weak human mind. :innocent:

That was the Spring Show, and yeah it was a sweet deal. I sold those rims for twice what I paid as well.

jeremywhitehorn 10-18-08 02:18 AM

TRaffic Jammer 10-18-08 06:50 AM

Making cookies with my daughter, mmm fresh cookies might take my mind off the show. :)

You've gotta re-evaluate your priorities! ;)

32flavours 10-18-08 07:09 AM

Breakfast at Sadie's then bike show! See y'all there.

Flimflam 10-18-08 08:20 AM

Aiiieeee! Don't think I'll be making it either, didn't get up on time and my parents leave today AND I might be trekking down to Niagara Falls in the afternoon.

The wise words above about going with something in mind kinda threw me off, too - as I don't have anything really in mind, I'm scared of unloading a bunch of cash on stuff that's "nice to have" rather than "need" :p

Thanks again for the pass deally TJ , if I decide to go, I'll drop by TBJ for one fo' sho'.

TRaffic Jammer 10-18-08 09:02 AM

Oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies..... that works for breaky no?

32flavours 10-18-08 11:50 AM

That place was a zoo!

Racer Sportif = lamezorz.

2wheelsgood 10-18-08 11:56 AM

yeah, there wasn't much unless you were looking for a complete road or mtn. bike.

had brunch at the swan afterwards. huevos rancheros ftw! so yummy. one of the servers had a tattoo on her arm of a man giving a woman the heimlich maneuver.

exhibitx 10-18-08 12:38 PM

picked up a new repair stand (my old one broke a few months ago) and some winter gear

that was my first time going, did a quick run through, which wasn't bad, but by the time i got out of one of the lines it was packed

shapelike 10-18-08 01:19 PM

Keith, are you driving to Kelso for next weekend's stage race? If so, can I snag a ride?

~Stuart~ 10-18-08 05:45 PM

****ty show? wicked. then i didnt miss anything :P

vainglorious 10-18-08 06:02 PM

man, it was brutal at the show today.. way too many people trying to cram into vendor stalls that were much too small.

savages!

my buddy did get a deal on that park tool stand for $80..

tell me about it! all i do is work these days - i'm giving myself until after new year then it's back to a "normal" job...

Brycycle 10-19-08 04:41 PM

hope i'm not interrupting the conversation, but i just re-located to Toronto and don't have a firm grasp on the bike shop scene here.

i'm looking for some riser bars, around a 500mm length, Nitto preferred. any leads would be appreciated!

I know the Urbane Cyclist at Queen St. West & John St. carries Nitto, but I'm not sure about risers.

Wicked day today. Had a great time and feel pretty good except for the sunburn on my nose and lips.

Pulled a Wes when I got home.
2 slices of pizza
1/2 tuna panini sandwich
veg and dip
toasted bagel and western cream cheese(the worlds best cream cheese)
stuffed chicken breast with mashed potato and carrots.
bowl of frozen yogurt

Now for some coffee.

Ride details: http://trail.motionbased.com/trail/activity/7008182.

Look at the heart-rate details and try and guess when I was trying to catch the "breakaway" (Keith/Barry/Stefan). Morning and afternoon were a wee bit different. :) Ditto for the speed distribution (morning = normal 'bell curve'.. afternoon = 31kph 'statistical anomoly').

Also: The look on Keith's face when I rolled into the parking lot right behind them made that big effort all worth it. :D
